Liao Wu’s conflict with Tobirama and Orochimaru escalated as he pursued Ryūchi Cave’s sage trials, while Snow Leopard infiltrated Root to recover the orphanage children and obtain Impure World Reincarnation. The arc left Liao Wu heading toward the next trial as Tobirama sought Dan’s help with resurrection and Kagami agreed to protect the village.

• The Ninja Alliance launched Plan B against the Land of Rain as Minato faced Fish Ball and Cai Lai, who summoned Ibuse and Sasori.
• Liao Wu explained his history with Madara to Tobirama and Orochimaru, then refused their offer to betray Madara and demanded forbidden techniques instead.
• Liao Wu and Ryobu fought Tobirama and Orochimaru, with Ryobu defeating Orochimaru through his Sharingan and Tobirama escaping with him.
• Liao Wu tortured Orochi into guiding him to the Three Great Snake Princesses’ trials, while Candy reported that the Alliance was advancing and Tsunade’s spore had disappeared.

As Liao Wu’s forces challenged the Ninja Alliance, Ryobu’s clashes with Orochimaru’s group exposed the danger Orochimaru posed to Anko and Yamato. At the battlefield, Satoru abducted several kunoichi before Might Guy used the Eight Gates to defeat him and earn a new name.

• Dan arrived at the battlefield, possessed the Third Hokage, and revealed that Orochimaru had taken Kagami and Tobirama to Ryūchi Cave to sabotage Ryobu’s trials.
• Shikaku assigned Duy to face Satoru and the Uchiha to counter Ryobu’s Clone, while Minato defeated Sasori without killing him.
• Ryobu entered Ichikishimahime’s trial, overcame her attempt to consume him, and escaped with her as Orochimaru’s group arrived.
• Tagorihime pursued Ryobu’s Spore inside Orochi, while Ryobu and Candy went to Tagitsuhime’s grounds and found Anko and Yamato trapped in a genjutsu.
• Liao Wu revealed Orochimaru’s plan to use Anko as a reincarnation vessel, removed her Curse Mark, and exposed Orochimaru’s soul clone.

The Ninja Alliance fought Liao Wu’s forces as the Senju and Uchiha began to cooperate, while Duy opened the Gate of Death to protect the retreating alliance. In the White Snake Sage’s trial, Liao Wu lived an alternate life as Mikoto’s husband and Itachi’s father, then began recovering memories when he encountered Naruto.

• Duy rescued Might Guy from Satoru with Daytime Tiger, while Tsunade prepared Amegakure’s villagers for the coming battle and resolved to defend the village.
• Liao Wu entered the White Snake Sage’s cave for his final Sage trial, where the Sage’s bite trapped him in an illusion of an ordinary life in Konoha.
• Orochimaru’s group fought at the cave, while Ryobu endured the trial and the White Snake Sage judged his talent for Natural Energy.
• Fugaku awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan against Scorpion, and Mengmao led Senju fighters to aid the Uchiha as the clans fought together.
• Fish Ball unleashed the Box of Paradise and its monsters, then Liao Wu summoned the Takigakure Ancient Tree and drove the Ninja Alliance into retreat.
• Duy opened the Gate of Death, shattered Satoru with Evening Elephant, and held back the Ancient Tree while Liao Wu and his companions escaped.
• The Alliance advanced toward Amegakure, where its leaders planned their assault on Madara and Danzo’s group prepared to confront Tsunade.
• In the illusion, Liao Wu became a successful businessman, married Mikoto, raised Itachi and Sasuke, and watched Itachi’s relationship with Mikoto deteriorate amid Uchiha tensions.
• Liao Wu encountered Naruto at the Ninja Academy, and the meeting brought back fragments of his memories of the Demon Fox attack and the Fourth Hokage’s death.

Ryobu’s memories returned as the Uchiha massacre began, and his grief drove him into a rampage that brought Konoha to ruin. After confronting Itachi and Obito, he resumed his battle with Hashirama and Tobirama in Ryūchi Cave, where the fight remained unresolved.

• Ryobu rushed to the Uchiha compound as Itachi killed the clan, but Dan’s Spirit Transformation disrupted his Sage Mode and turned him into a rampaging Demon Cat.
• Candy and the others sealed Ryobu inside the Four Red Yang Formation, but Hashirama was summoned and fought him as Ryobu’s excess Natural Energy fueled his destruction.
• Ryobu awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and Amenominakanushi, relived the massacre in an illusion, and recovered his identity as Uchiha Ryobu.
• Ryobu summoned Perfect Susanoo, devastated Konoha, killed Danzo and Root, and tested Naruto’s feelings before sparing him and confronting Itachi over the massacre.
• Ryobu stopped Obito, destroyed his Sharingan, revealed his role in Minato and Kushina’s deaths, and killed him before Itachi died beside Sasuke.
