Liao Wu captured the One-Tail and Seven-Tails, returned to Rain Village, and pursued the Box of Paradise while his allies and enemies maneuvered around him. In Konoha, Shisui’s sacrifice and the threat of Madara deepened tensions as the Uchiha demanded answers and the village prepared for war.

• Shemu asked Kakuzu to lead Takigakure, but he refused and left to replenish his hearts as Minato and Jiraiya raced toward the village to confront Liao Wu.
• Liao Wu killed Suien, returned to Rain Village with Konan, Nagato, and the captured Seven-Tails, and exposed Shirakawa’s doubts about the Moon Eye Plan.
• Liao Wu captured Shukaku, raised the Takigakure Ancient Tree in Rain Village, and arranged to retrieve the Box of Paradise from Hozuki Castle while Madara sealed Shukaku into the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.
• Tsunade chose to stop rejecting her past, while Liao Wu assigned Ryūsetsu and Wu Gou training and Itachi decided to become a ninja to learn why his uncle had betrayed the village.
• Itachi awakened another tomoe after seeing Shisui’s ruined eyes, and Shisui told Konoha’s leaders that his Kotoamatsukami had failed against Liao Wu and that he had destroyed both eyes to protect them.
• Shisui explained Madara’s Rinnegan abilities to Konoha’s leaders, while Danzo revealed that Orochimaru was alive and studying Senjutsu at Ryūchi Cave to strengthen the Reanimation Bodies.
• Yugito advised Kushina on communicating with the Nine-Tails, while Liao Wu’s group dealt with Nagato, Konan, and Cai Lai’s demands before Liao Wu ordered Candy to investigate Cai Lai’s suspicious Cat Girl.
• Ryobu made the revived Chibi Shukaku teach him Magnet Release, while the Uchiha confronted Konoha’s leaders over Shisui’s eyes and Fugaku demanded that the village recognize Shisui’s service.

Liao Wu confronted Satoru after opening the Box of Paradise, while the Five Kage gathered to form an alliance against Madara Uchiha. The arc left Liao Wu exploiting Satoru’s inability to read positive feelings as Chiyo secretly planned to fill Sunagakure’s troop quota with brainwashed prisoners.

• Kushina befriended Yugito and Killer B, told them she was pregnant, and Shisui became Jiraiya’s student.
• Liao Wu used Shukaku’s Magnet Release Chakra and freed Chongming from Kotoamatsukami, while Root’s experiments led Kabuto to volunteer as a test subject.
• Jiraiya and the village elders disputed Shisui’s Mount Myōboku contract, and Sage Fukasaku eventually allowed Shisui to sign it.
• Chiyo confronted the revived Sakumo, then warned Kakashi that Sasori was stronger than his father as the Five Kage representatives arrived in Konoha.
• Liao Wu opened the Box of Paradise at Hozuki Castle, sacrificed a prisoner, and released Satoru, who emerged as a dangerous demon.

As the Ninja Alliance formed against Madara, Liao Wu subdued Satoru and set out to learn Sage Mode, while Nonō’s mission and Kabuto’s transformation deepened the conflict. Hashirama, Tobirama, and Orochimaru learned that Liao Wu was headed to Ryūchi Cave and set out to intercept him before joining the war.

• The Five Kage pledged troops to the Ninja Alliance and chose the Third Hokage as commander, while Danzo proposed sacrificing the Jinchuriki if the war turned hopeless.
• Ryobu defeated Satoru, took control of the Box of Paradise, and left Hozuki Castle with the box and a subdued Satoru.
• Madara punished Liao Wu for wishing for a Kitten Girl, took the Seven-Tails to seal inside the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, and ordered him to face the Ninja Alliance.
• Nonō tried to assassinate Tsunade under Danzo’s orders, and Ryobu later saved her from poison and used Snow Leopard to help her and Kabuto at the Orphanage.
• Liao Wu left for Ryūchi Cave with the Small Slug and Candy to seek Senjutsu, while Madara chose not to stop him.
• Orochimaru revived Hashirama and Tobirama, and the Slug Sage told them that Tsunade had married Ryobu, prompting conflict over the Uchiha and Senju clans.
• Tobirama and Orochimaru discussed how Senju and Uchiha bloodlines might awaken the Rinnegan, while Danzo had Kabuto study Impure World Reincarnation.
• After learning that the Ninja Alliance was heading for the Land of Rain, Tobirama and Orochimaru set out for Ryūchi Cave to intercept Liao Wu before joining the fight against Madara.

Liao Wu entered Ryūchi Cave, learned about Sage Transformation, and later faced the Ninja Alliance with his army of Ninja Cats. As the Alliance prepared for battle, Liao Wu challenged Itachi with visions of the Uchiha’s future and defeated the Fourth Raikage before Minato faced his forces.

• Liao Wu discovered the Jugo Clan near Ryūchi Cave, learned that Orochimaru had taken Jugo, and absorbed Lu Bian’s cells to test Sage Transformation before deciding to pursue genuine Sage Art.
• Liao Wu sent the Jugo Clan to Hozuki Castle and entered Ryūchi Cave with Candy, where the White Snake Sage prepared a trial for Uchiha Ryobu and ordered Anko and Yamato disposed of if they did not awaken.
• The Ninja Alliance gathered in the Land of Rain, and the Third Hokage used Hiruko to summon the Leaf’s fallen heroes while Kagami reunited with the Uchiha and learned that Liao Wu had recruited the Ninja Cats.
• Liao Wu revealed himself to the Alliance after disguising himself as Madara, then drew Itachi into an illusion and explained the Uchiha’s history and the village’s growing hostility toward the clan.
• Liao Wu showed Itachi visions of the Nine-Tails attack, Shisui’s death, and Itachi killing the Uchiha, while warning that Danzo wanted the clan’s Sharingan and that Itachi would eventually face a choice between the clan and the village.
• Itachi told the Uchiha leaders that Liao Wu had accused Danzo of stealing Sharingan, but Fugaku and Kagami stopped the clan from confronting Danzo while the Alliance watched.
• The Fourth Raikage charged Liao Wu through the mist, but Liao Wu used water, Magnet Release, poison, and Wood Style to defeat him, forcing the Raikage to admit his loss and withdraw.
• Minato stepped forward after Liao Wu challenged the Alliance, but Liao Wu sent him to fight a subordinate instead, and Fish Ball and Cai Lai volunteered after Liao Wu threatened their pay and food.
