Naruto and his allies fought Liao Wu, whose connection to the Dragon Vein gave him overwhelming power, while Naruto learned about his parents and faced the pain of his future. The arc ended with Kushina, Minato, and Naruto sending Liao Wu into the twisting Dragon Vein.

• Mukade absorbed Minato’s Sealing Formula and unleashed the Dragon Vein, sweeping Naruto and Yamato into Rōran’s past, where Naruto met Sara and learned she was Kazekage.
• Liao Wu deceived Naruto, captured Sara, and went to the Dragon Vein, while Kaguya and Black Zetsu attacked Naruto and Minato’s group arrived to help him.
• Minato learned Naruto’s history from the Eight Trigrams Seal, and Naruto discovered that Kushina was his mother while the group confronted Liao Wu.
• Liao Wu emerged with a Perfect Susanoo, defeated Kaguya and Black Zetsu, and urged Naruto to destroy the people who had hurt him, but Naruto refused to abandon the care he had received from Iruka and his parents.
• Liao Wu connected his Susanoo to the Dragon Vein through Sara and used its chakra to overpower the tailed beasts and the fighters in Rōran.
• Obito brought Naruto and the others to the Dragon Vein, where Naruto released its chakra and grew to six tails while Candy and Shukaku tried to stop them.
• Liao Wu intercepted Naruto’s Tailed Beast Ball and attacked the fighters, while Kushina, Minato, and the Nine-Tails planned to send him to another time-space.
• Naruto, Kushina, and Minato fused their Rasengans into a Three-Phase Rasengan, which knocked Liao Wu into the Dragon Vein as it twisted and exploded.

Liao Wu was swept into Hikari’s era, where he conquered the Uchiha and enslaved other clans before leaving with Hikari and Sara. After returning to the main timeline, he confronted Minato and Kushina, while Sara began rebuilding Rōran and Liao Wu considered the Dragon Vein’s reach across time-spaces.

• Liao Wu and Sara joined Boruto’s journey through the Dragon Vein to Hikari’s era, where the Uchiha betrayed Liao Wu and Boruto tried to protect Hikari from him.
• Liao Wu seized control of the Uchiha, made Hikari his sister, and later enslaved Senju and Sarutobi forces while Boruto returned to his own time.
• Boruto, Sasuke, and Sarada traveled back to confront Liao Wu, but he overpowered Sasuke and left the era with Sara and Hikari through the Dragon Vein.
• Liao Wu gave Sarada a Dragon Vein-preserved fan and sealed protective information and a spore inside her before departing.
• Candy and Pakura broke Minato’s seal on the Dragon Vein, allowing Liao Wu to return and attack Minato, Kushina, and their allies.
• Minato escaped with Kushina, while Liao Wu took control of Yugito and threatened to destroy the Leaf Village.
• Sara promised to rebuild Rōran, and Liao Wu sent a Spore Clone to help its residents as he considered the Dragon Vein’s connection to other time-spaces.

Liao Wu gathered the marked ninja and Tailed Beast chakra to create an incomplete Ten-Tails, then carried the Hakimi Sect toward Konoha and demanded that the nations submit to him. The Ninja Sect and its allies met his forces in battle, where Kushina and Miroku managed to restrain part of his Susanoo before Liao Wu escaped and deployed the Meow Six Paths.

• Candy accepted a Sharingan transplant from Liao Wu, while he marked Ginkaku and Yugito and implanted Sharingan in Pakura.
• Liao Wu captured the Ninja Sect forces at Hozuki Castle, marked them with Yachihoko, and carried the island toward the Land of Wind on the transformed Takigakure Ancient Tree.
• Ryobu fused nine Tailed Beast clones into the Ancient Tree, which became an incomplete Ten-Tails before transforming into the Little Divine Tree.
• Kaguya and Black Zetsu recruited Satoru and Mōryō, while Liao Wu moved the Hakimi Sect toward the Leaf Village and demanded that the Ninja Sect submit to him as emperor.
• Miroku demonstrated that her priestess power could purify the Nine-Tails' resentment chakra, then joined Kushina in preparing to seal Liao Wu.

Liao Wu failed to control the world through Marking Tsukuyomi after Hamura severed his connection to the moon, then forced peace negotiations and claimed territory. He established the Land of U around the Land of Rain as Sunagakure began moving west to avoid his demands.

• Kushina reunited with Naruto after Liao Wu attacked the tailed beasts, and Hashirama and Tobirama joined the battle as Liao Wu transformed by absorbing the Waterfall Tree.
• Liao Wu used the blood moon to begin Marking Tsukuyomi, but Hamura restored the moon’s silver light and stopped the technique.
• Liao Wu held villagers and ninjas hostage to force territorial concessions, then signed a peace agreement with Kushina while keeping Yugito and several tailed beasts.
• Liao Wu visited the Leaf Village, met Izuna, and later gave Mikoto a Sage Mode spore before taking Tsunade away.
