Liao Wu conquered Sunagakure and the Land of Wind, captured Sasori, and expanded the Land of U’s influence while negotiating with the Ninja Sect. Naruto and Yamato prepared to return to their own time after Naruto reunited with his parents and Kushina resolved to rebuild the Land of Whirlpools.

• Sasori withdrew when Ryobu appeared, but Ryobu confronted Sunagakure and demanded its submission, leading the Third Kazekage and Rasa to challenge him.
• Liao Wu’s Meow Six Paths defeated Sunagakure’s defenders, turned the Third Kazekage and Rasa into puppets, and forced the village’s people to relocate to Rōran.
• Liao Wu gathered Yugito, the Sand Village, and captured Leaf Ninjas in Rōran, while negotiating exchanges with the Ninja Sect and the Cloud Village.
• Chiyo tried to save Ebizo and confronted Liao Wu, whose cats defeated her and uncovered Sasori’s plan to turn all living beings into puppets.
• The Meow Six Paths captured Sasori and Anrokuzan, and the Land of Wind’s Daimyo accepted the Land of U as his suzerain.
• Liao Wu restored Sasori to a human body and branded him, while Minato’s group traded the Four Symbols Seal to secure Anrokuzan’s release.
• Kushina and Minato spent a day with Naruto in Rōran, and the Nine-Tails defeated Shukaku before Shukaku considered Ryobu’s offer to lead a city.
• Kushina, Minato, and Naruto visited Uzushio’s ruins and graves, where Kushina vowed to bring her people home, while Naruto and Yamato prepared to return to the future.

Liao Wu took control of Naruto’s body after the Dragon Vein returned Naruto and Yamato to their own era, then used Naruto’s new power and revealed heritage to reshape his standing in the Leaf Village. The arc left Naruto publicly recognized as Minato’s son, more distant from the village, and still determined to bring Sasuke back.

• Minato sealed Naruto’s and Yamato’s memories before Liao Wu sent them back to their own era, where Naruto woke with no memory of the past.
• Liao Wu overpowered Naruto’s will, took control of his body, and concealed his identity while the Leaf investigated Yamato’s sealed memories.
• Liao Wu presented himself as Naruto, pursued new ties with Ayame and Ino, and demonstrated Wood Style to Tsunade and the others.
• Jiraiya and Tsunade revealed that Minato and Kushina were Naruto’s parents, prompting Liao Wu to demand public recognition and his parents’ inheritance.
• Tsunade gave Liao Wu Kushina’s sealing scroll and access to Minato’s Flying Thunder God Technique, which he mastered almost immediately.
• Tsunade arranged to publish Naruto’s parentage, and Sakura reconsidered her past treatment of him after reading the announcement.
• Villagers and former bullies came to Ichiraku Ramen to apologize, but Liao Wu drove them away before Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji took him out to celebrate.

Liao Wu demonstrated his growing power while joining the search for Sasuke, capturing Deidara and forming a new organization. As Sasuke pursued Itachi and Jiraiya headed to Rain Village, Liao Wu intercepted Itachi’s attempt to prepare for his death and altered Shisui’s crow.

• Ino gathered the rookies for a reunion, where Liao Wu clashed with Kakashi and Sakura before defeating Rock Lee in a sparring match with his controlled Nine-Tails power.
• Liao Wu revealed his Wood Style and Flying Thunder God Technique, and Tsunade approved his participation in the mission to retrieve Sasuke despite objections from Koharu and Homura.
• Sasuke formed Snake Team and set out to find Itachi, while Liao Wu searched with Hinata and Bulu and learned from Kabuto that Akatsuki planned to target him and the Eight-Tails.
• Liao Wu reached the fight between Sasuke and Deidara, sealed Deidara’s self-destruction, and let Sasuke escape after urging him to abandon revenge.
• Liao Wu captured Deidara, recruited him by claiming Akatsuki had used him as a pawn, and named their new group the Explosive Organization.
• Kakashi’s team resumed the pursuit of Sasuke, while Kakashi sent more than a hundred of Liao Wu’s Shadow Clones to search and Tsunade prepared village cooperation against Akatsuki.
• Jiraiya persuaded Tsunade to let him infiltrate Rain Village, then departed after sharing the Great Toad Sage’s prophecy with Liao Wu.
• Liao Wu altered Itachi’s crow and sent it toward Deidara, while Sasuke followed a crow illusion’s directions to the Uchiha hideout and Obito watched him from the Valley of the End.

Liao Wu stole Itachi’s body, traveled back to Rōran, and devoured Asura’s chakra and the Nine-Tails to become a Tailed Beast Life. As Nagato and Jiraiya arrived at the ruins, Liao Wu emerged and claimed to be Uchiha Ryobu, Madara’s grandson, drawing Obito’s attention.

• Liao Wu’s clone told Sasuke that Itachi had loved him despite killing their clan, while Liao Wu and Kakashi’s team clashed with Obito on the way to the Uchiha stronghold.
• Sasuke used Kirin against Itachi, but Itachi survived with Susanoo, sealed Orochimaru with the Totsuka Blade, and died after tapping Sasuke’s forehead.
• Liao Wu replaced Itachi’s corpse with a spore-created body and sealed the real corpse away, while Obito took Sasuke and revealed that Itachi had massacred the Uchiha on Konoha’s orders.
• Liao Wu returned to the past at Rōran, consumed half of Asura’s chakra, and absorbed the Nine-Tails’ chakra and will as the Great Toad Sage warned of an evil force from the past.
• Jiraiya escaped Nagato’s pursuit toward Rōran, where the Thief Cats formed the Six Red Yang Formation around Liao Wu’s transforming body.
• Nagato and Konan attacked the barrier as the cocoon within revealed its overwhelming power, and Liao Wu emerged as a gigantic black-and-white cat after completing his transformation.
• Liao Wu shrank to human form, introduced himself to Nagato and Konan as Uchiha Ryobu, and claimed he would avenge the Uchiha against Itachi.
• Obito arrived after Liao Wu claimed Madara was his grandson, and considered using Liao Wu’s unfamiliarity with Madara to gain his favor.
