"Very good. Since Teacher Kenjaku says there's no problem with the theory, all that remains is figuring out what we should do. Teacher Kenjaku, do you have any Curse Users with abilities related to creation? I need one badly."
Kenjaku thought carefully, then suddenly smiled. "I actually do," he said.
Jogo, the most obsessed with becoming stronger, immediately turned his burning gaze toward Kenjaku. His single eye was filled with eager anticipation. Stroking his chin, Kenjaku smiled and said:
"There is a renowned dark craftsman among Curse Users. His name is Juzo Kumiya. If I remember correctly, his Innate Technique is Construction, a technique that can create objects that do not exist in this world."
Mahito revealed a cheerful smile and asked:
"Then, Teacher Kenjaku, can you bring him before me?" Kenjaku slowly exhaled, wearing his usual smile.
"As you wish, Mahito," he said.

The Missing Special Grade Cursed Object
June 2018.
Sugisawa Third High School, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. Night.
"Sukuna's Fingers? What are those?" Miyoku asked.
Honestly, she wanted to complain about being sent on a mission after only around two weeks of training. But when she saw that there were only two first-year high school students in the entire Tokyo Jujutsu High, she could no longer bring herself to say it.
She deeply understood just how scarce Jujutsu Sorcerers were in all of Japanese society. Apparently, there were only two schools in the entire country, with around ten students total—and that number included her.
With cursed disasters occurring so frequently these days, it was no wonder even first-years had to go on missions.
"They're probably the most famous Special Grade Cursed Objects. First-years probably haven't covered them yet?" Megumi Fushiguro frowned as he walked ahead.
Megumi Fushiguro was Miyoku's only classmate. He wore the black uniform of Tokyo Jujutsu High, its buttons bearing the school's jujutsu insignia. He had black hair, but it seemed to be so stiff that it flared uncontrollably outward, making him look like he had a hedgehog perched on his head.
On the surface, he looked like a cool and unapproachable upperclassman. In truth, he always did wear an expression that warned strangers to stay away. Yet Miyoku knew he was actually very kind. Whenever she could not find a teacher, if he was around, he would patiently answer her questions about jujutsu.
Like now, he explained rather patiently:
"Cursed Objects generally refer to indestructible cursed remains. These cursed remains possess physical forms and can even be seen with the naked eye by non-sorcerers. They are usually imbued with powerful poisonous cursed power, and that drives away weaker curses—obviously, this is bad practice."
Miyoku responded thoughtfully:
"Using a powerful curse to drive away weaker curses is indeed an effective method, but it also exposes the location of the powerful curse. Some powerful Cursed Spirits may be drawn here, or if the seal is not maintained in time, the Cursed Object could break through the seal as well..."
Megumi Fushiguro nodded lightly. "Exactly. Among these Cursed Objects, Sukuna's Fingers are considered the strongest. Forget the seal being lifted—even if the seal is perfectly maintained, the curse radiating from Sukuna's Fingers will constantly erode the outside world. In short, once this kind of Special Grade Cursed Object is discovered, it must be handled properly."
That was why they had come here. Megumi Fushiguro summarized it. Miyoku kept nodding. "Yes, I understand!"
Megumi Fushiguro slowly exhaled and reassured her, "But there's no need to worry. This Sukuna's Finger should still be properly sealed. As long as we—"
Megumi Fushiguro stopped mid-sentence. He looked toward the location where Sukuna's Finger had been sealed, his pupils widening. "You've got to be kidding," he muttered.
Miyoku craned her neck and looked at the sealing location—it was the school's Stevenson screen. Normally, such screens were radiation-shielding installations used by weather stations to house instruments measuring air conditions and temperature. Yet it was being used to enshrine a Special Grade Cursed Object. Honestly, it was a bit of a hellish joke.
What was even more of a hellish joke was—
Miyoku swallowed. "Fushiguro, if a Special Grade Cursed Object goes missing, that's pretty serious, right?" The inside was empty.
"More serious than you can imagine," Megumi Fushiguro replied, immediately taking out his phone.
Miyoku suddenly felt a chill in the air. Like a startled deer, she looked around. Before attending Jujutsu High, she certainly would not have noticed anything, but now she could see traces of Cursed Energy with her naked eyes. She shifted the focus of her vision and clearly saw her surroundings.
She swallowed again. "Fushiguro, I think we're surrounded." Megumi Fushiguro glanced sideways and casually said, "Ignore them."
Just as Miyoku had said, there were unexpectedly many Cursed Spirits within this school, including quite a few powerful ones. They had likely gathered because of Sukuna's Finger. But because of the seal, they could only sense that Sukuna's Finger was here without being able to find it, so they had lingered here mindlessly, unwilling to leave for a long time.
With the source of a powerful curse dangling before them, they would not attack people before finding that cursed source—unless someone deliberately attacked them and drew their attention.
Megumi Fushiguro knew this well. These minor nuisances were not the target right now. As long as they dealt with Sukuna's Finger, these Cursed Spirits would naturally disperse.
And even if they refused to leave, they could deal with them afterward.
"Hey, Megumi, how's the mission going?" His phone suddenly rang, and Satoru Gojo's voice came through.
"Terribly." Megumi Fushiguro had no intention of chatting and immediately reported the situation. "When we arrived, the Special Grade Cursed Object was already gone. The Stevenson screen is empty."
"Huh? Seriously? A Special Grade Cursed Object disappeared? That's hilarious! Ahahaha." I'm going to punch you.
"Don't come back unless you retrieve it," Satoru Gojo said ruthlessly. Next time, I really should punch him. Megumi Fushiguro considered it seriously. "Fushiguro, Fushiguro..." Miyoku said timidly.
"Maybe some students at the school took it without understanding the danger," Satoru Gojo mused. "Kids these days are all like that, right? They like strange things and chase urban legends. Check whether this school has a student club like an Occult Club. If it does, it was probably them."
Megumi Fushiguro nodded inwardly. In fact, that was what he had been thinking too. Unlike before, when elders passed down taboos from generation to generation and both young people and children obeyed them, today's youth would not listen to such things. Those old customs had been antiquated and lacking in compassion, but in a world with real supernatural phenomena, they had indeed effectively reduced the occurrence of curses.
But how could young people nowadays listen to that? The pursuit of thrills had sunk deep into children's hearts. They were willing to approach these dangerous urban legends in order to show off how different and courageous they were.
"Fushiguro, Fushiguro..." Miyoku's voice grew shrill, like the prelude to a girl's scream.
"Can I ask the school administration for help?" Megumi Fushiguro frowned in thought. "Maybe during the day, I could just go to the school and find someone—"
"Don't expose the existence of Jujutsu Society. Other than that, do whatever you want," Satoru Gojo said lazily.
"Are you kidding? You think I can just walk into the principal's office, make up some excuse, and get them to cooperate with me?" The anger in Megumi Fushiguro's heart quietly burned. "At least I need a plausible reason I can say out loud, right? With nothing but empty words, I can't even get past the school gatekeeper!"
"If you want to complain, go find those old men at the top," Satoru Gojo once again displayed an adult's coldness and freely exploited Megumi Fushiguro. "You know the rules. I don't care, but if it's you, they won't go easy on you. You don't want your sister to be unable to afford hospitalization, do you?"
"Enough!" Megumi Fushiguro really wanted to hang up. "Fushiguro, Fushiguro!"
At that moment, Miyoku's voice finally broke. She kept backing away until her back collided with Megumi Fushiguro. Impatiently, Megumi Fushiguro turned to look at Miyoku. Suddenly, the irritation on his face froze, as still as a statue in an exhibition hall.
Only then did Satoru Gojo say, as though he had just remembered, "Oh, right. If the Special Grade Cursed Object has gone missing, you two should be careful. Miyoku-chan's body is a little special—she's the type who very easily attracts Cursed Spirits. If they can't find the cursed source of the Special Grade Cursed Object, Miyoku-chan might work as a substitute meal."
Megumi Fushiguro roared, "You're telling me too late!"
At this very moment, shadowy Cursed Spirits had already surrounded Megumi Fushiguro and Miyoku. Sweat continuously streamed down Miyoku's forehead. She raised her fists, not knowing what stance to take against the enemy. This was her first real battle. Her emotions surged uncontrollably, and tension and fear nearly swallowed her in an instant—especially with so many Cursed Spirits staring at her with the eyes of hungry wolves.
Megumi Fushiguro hung up, forming a shadow hand sign with both hands.
He calmly said, "Perfect timing, Miyoku. Your practical lesson is here."
"I heard all of that! This isn't a practical lesson at all, it's an emergency!" Tears nearly flew from Miyoku's huge eyes as she shrieked pitifully. "Wasn't this supposed to be a simple mission to retrieve a Cursed Object? How did it turn into this?!"
"Get used to it quickly. This is the daily life of a Jujutsu Sorcerer." Megumi Fushiguro breathed slowly.
At that moment, one Cursed Spirit among the encircling horde could no longer endure it and came charging at them with a roar. Megumi Fushiguro activated the Cursed Technique he had prepared, shouting at the top of his lungs:
"Battle begins—go, Divine Dog!"
The shadow beneath Megumi Fushiguro's feet suddenly stretched out. A large white dog leaped from the shadow—Ten Shadows Technique: Divine Dog! Divine Dog opened its jaws and bit the charging Cursed Spirit. Its enormous bite force nearly tore the spirit in half. The Cursed Spirit let out an inhuman, strange wail. The next instant, the wail vanished. Megumi Fushiguro stepped forward and smashed the Cursed Spirit with a fist infused with Cursed Energy, causing it to burst like a popped balloon.
Amid the chaos, Megumi Fushiguro calmly observed the surrounding situation.
He silently counted the Cursed Spirits and was astonished to find that there were more than thirty. Most were Grade Three, while Grade Two Cursed Spirits hid among the many Grade Threes. Normally, so many Cursed Spirits would rarely gather in one place. Cursed Spirits also differed in strength, and when powerful Cursed Spirits existed nearby, weaker ones would not linger around them.
Sukuna's Finger, this source of attraction, had broken the tacit understanding between powerful and weak Cursed Spirits. A huge number of Cursed Spirits had gathered here, searching without restraint, seeking only to take another step forward.
Driven by instinct, the Cursed Spirits watched them like tigers eyeing prey.
The Cursed Spirits had originally targeted Miyoku, but when Divine Dog and Megumi Fushiguro counterattacked, all of them shifted their attention toward him.
"Phew." Megumi Fushiguro slowly exhaled and assumed his stance again. Less than a second of silence passed before the Cursed Spirits erupted!
The Cursed Spirits howled and charged at Megumi Fushiguro. Every single one rushed forward without regard for order. They had no coordination whatsoever, but their numbers made up for it. They pounced like two overlapping fans, with some Cursed Spirits even squeezing and hindering one another in the space between. Even so, they did not hesitate, crashing forward like a tsunami.
Megumi Fushiguro vanished from the Cursed Spirits' sight without warning. He lowered his body until he was nearly pressed against the ground, taking a deep breath as he circulated his Cursed Energy, then erupting in that instant! He slid beneath the two fan-shaped waves, his curse-infused hands striking upward. The Cursed Spirit horde swept over him. With that near-instantaneous action, he avoided their first charge entirely and took the opportunity to kill two or three Cursed Spirits.
Divine Dog slammed head-on into the Cursed Spirit horde. The white shikigami dog charged with all its strength, only to be completely engulfed by the mass of Cursed Spirits. Countless cursed hands wrapped around Divine Dog. The tremendous tearing force made it cry out, yet it was not torn apart. It withstood the ripping force, opened its jaws wide, and bit back.
Megumi Fushiguro kicked one Cursed Spirit into another, and their tsunami-like offensive vanished in an instant.
In the end, they were merely mindless beasts—no, they were not even as good as beasts. Packs of beasts at least knew how to cooperate, but these things could not even manage that. Other than crashing forward like a raging tide, they had no other method of attack. Once the first wave was endured, they could even hinder themselves, eventually ending up being dealt with one by one.
Suddenly, Megumi Fushiguro's eyes widened. The Grade Two Cursed Spirit hidden among the many Grade Three Cursed Spirits finally bared its fangs, but its target was not Megumi Fushiguro. It was Miyoku!
This cunning Grade Two Cursed Spirit had the form of a snake. It lurked amid the Cursed Spirit horde and slowly advanced. After the horde was stopped by Megumi Fushiguro, it did not try to ambush him. Its target had remained unchanged from beginning to end: Miyoku. It wanted only her.
And now, its chance had come. Even Megumi Fushiguro had become entangled in the Cursed Spirit horde, while Miyoku was completely exposed. It suddenly sprang up. Its serpentine body leaped exactly like a hunting snake. In a flash, its jaws reached Miyoku's face, poisonous fangs shooting out as it bit down.
Miyoku screamed, and Megumi Fushiguro's eyes nearly split open. "Miyoku!"
The next instant, the snake's jaws exploded. In the midst of her scream, Miyoku tore the Grade Two Cursed Spirit apart. Megumi Fushiguro froze.
He had seen it clearly. Miyoku had not even consciously attempted to attack or defend. She raised her hand before her eyes while screaming, and the snake's jaws had already bitten down on it. Its poisonous fangs should have injected deadly venom—but when they tore into her, the teeth of a Grade Two Cursed Spirit had failed to break Miyoku's skin!
Roaring Cursed Energy spread outward from Miyoku like a storm. By instinct, she had covered the surface of her body with Cursed Energy, letting it flow over her delicate, pale skin. This was the most basic Cursed Energy defense, also the fundamental manipulation of Cursed Energy that Jujutsu High emphasized from the first year onward.
In her confusion, Miyoku used force.
This was also something taught in the first year at Jujutsu High: strengthening the body with Cursed Energy.
But even Megumi Fushiguro did not reinforce his entire body when he used Cursed Energy to strengthen himself. He had to carefully use every bit of Cursed Energy within him, calmly judge the situation, then distribute it with utmost precision. He had always fought that way.
But now, for the first time, he saw how a Jujutsu Sorcerer with immense Cursed Energy used it—to overwhelm others with sheer force!
Miyoku erupted with Cursed Energy amid her scream, instinctively using Cursed Energy defense—full-body defense! The all-out sneak attack of a Grade Two Cursed Spirit could not even bite through her basic Cursed Energy protection. Then came her counterattack, simple as an infant tearing apart a thin string. She grabbed the Grade Two Cursed Spirit with both hands and pulled outward violently. The Grade Two Cursed Spirit was truly ripped into two like string torn by a child, dissolving into foul remnants with a shriek.
Megumi Fushiguro suddenly recalled what Satoru Gojo had told him when he entrusted Miyoku to him.
"Don't worry about Miyoku," Satoru Gojo had said to Megumi Fushiguro. "I have great faith in Megumi's potential, but at this stage alone—without a doubt, Miyoku is stronger. Much stronger than you. Strong enough that you might even become jealous."
Megumi Fushiguro's mouth twitched.
"So that's it. Is this the potential Teacher Satoru Gojo said would definitely make her a Special Grade Sorcerer? Now I understand completely."
He took a deep breath and suddenly shouted, "Miyoku! Calm down!"
Dazed, Miyoku lowered her hands. Remains of the Grade Two Cursed Spirit still clung to them. She could not even believe that she had so easily killed a Cursed Spirit that had attacked her. This was not material from a textbook—it was a real curse made manifest.
When the Cursed Spirit had attacked her, terror had nearly swallowed her whole. But now she realized... it did not seem like such a big deal?
This body that Mr. Mahito had altered was actually this powerful...?
Megumi Fushiguro's sharp shout snapped her back to her senses. She answered in a fluster, "Y-Yes! Yes, Fushiguro! I'm fine! I'm actually fine!"
"You're babbling. Calm down! The Cursed Spirits can't hurt you at all, haven't you realized that yet?!" Megumi Fushiguro shouted again. This time, he did not even turn around. He only kept reinforcing his fists with Cursed Energy and striking the Cursed Spirits before him. Divine Dog had already returned to his side, and together they worked flawlessly. Despite numbering more than thirty, the Cursed Spirit horde could not get close to him.
"Uh? I-I need to calm down, I need to calm down." Miyoku took deep breaths.
"Now!" Megumi Fushiguro shouted as he punched. "Do you see the Cursed Spirit horde in front of you?" "Y-Yes?"
"Kill them," Megumi Fushiguro said.
"Kill...? Kill them? M-Me?!" Miyoku froze.
Then, Megumi Fushiguro deliberately let several Cursed Spirits pass. Realizing they could not hit him, these Cursed Spirits turned their attention to Miyoku again. In the end, Miyoku had always been their target. Megumi Fushiguro had only been continuously attacking them, so their instincts had made them attack the one capable of hurting them. Now that Megumi Fushiguro no longer wanted to tangle with them, they naturally set their sights back on Miyoku.
Miyoku's face turned green. "I-I can't do it!"
"Now." Megumi Fushiguro repeated himself. "Kill them."
Part of the Cursed Spirit horde broke away and charged toward Miyoku. Through her sobbing cries, Miyoku erupted and charged forward!
Sayonara! Author's Note
Ancient Leaf's Author's Note:
I saw the comments. Since I'm an old fossil, typing in the mobile comment section is very difficult, and I honestly could not figure out how to type on the webpage either, so I'll say this here. Nearly every chapter I write is over 4,000 characters, with the occasional 5,000- or 6,000-character chapter. That's because I considered the reading experience, and it's also what I'm personally used to. If everyone dislikes it, I can split them up. It wouldn't be any trouble for me. What do you all think? I'll listen to everyone.
Of course, the number of characters I update each day will not change. For example, I currently update one chapter per day, each chapter around 4,000 to 6,000 characters. If I split them, it would become at least two chapters a day, each around 2,000 characters. Or it could become three chapters, still around 2,000 characters each, simply split from a 6,000-character chapter.
If everyone prefers them split up, I'll split them.

"Come on! Let's begin tonight's hard-hitting fighting club elimination match!" The bald announcer roared wildly. "Live commentary will be brought to you by yours truly, John Bobby!"
Brimming with excitement, he stood on the commentary platform and wildly waved both hands, his voice deafening.
Through the loudspeakers, his frenzied emotion completely ignited the crowd around him. The audience raised their hands and roared in unison. Then the announcer abruptly shifted tone and loudly introduced:
"First, let me introduce tonight's combatant! The arrogant one, pure white evil, the man who claims he will ascend the throne of God—Ma-hi-to!"
Mahito shook his head, genuinely embarrassed by the introduction. Although he had indeed claimed that he would definitely ascend the throne of God, saying it himself and hearing someone else introduce him that way felt completely different. He had not felt much when he said it himself, but hearing someone else say it made him terribly self-conscious.
Jogo, who was accompanying Mahito, felt no embarrassment whatsoever. On the contrary, he was incredibly excited.
