Background / History

Beirut originated in the Qingya Plane and later ascended to Hell as a Demigod. From the time of his birth, Lota took notice of him as an exceptionally talented divine beast, arranging for Morit to protect him discreetly without interfering in life-or-death situations. 1

In Hell, Calorona supported his cultivation with Divine Sparks and other resources. Beirut rapidly advanced to Mid-level God, while his desire to witness powerful battles and become a High God drove his training. 13 14 26

After roughly one hundred thousand years, Beirut returned with Calorona to the Qingya Plane. Alarmed by the sudden proliferation of God-level experts and secret realms, he investigated the God Tomb, pushing through its early layers and confronting increasingly powerful gatekeepers. 72 73 75 77

Kakqi eventually brought Beirut to the God Tomb's eighteenth layer, where he met Lota. Lota accepted him as a Sovereign's Emissary, bestowed a Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact, and encouraged him to strengthen his body by devouring Divinities. 79 80

Following his marriage to Calorona, Beirut became a leading authority on the Qingya Plane. He enforced the God Tomb's restrictions and established his reputation by instantly killing Peak Asura Koloide with his Talent Divine Power. 86 89 90

Over the following million years, Beirut completed the fusion of four Darkness Law Profound Mysteries, developed a body comparable to a Sovereign Artifact, and divided his duties between maintaining peace in the Qingya Plane and roaming Hell with Calorona. His Darkness Divine Clone later defeated the You Lan Prefecture Prefect and assumed the position. 102 107

Despite his confidence, Beirut is deeply conscious of the gap between himself and stronger figures. He initially considered himself unworthy of Calorona because she was a Seven-star Devil with the Prefect Quinsang as her teacher, motivating him to become stronger before proposing. 86

His treatment of enemies can be ruthless. He killed Koloide immediately after the latter challenged the God Tomb's rules, then used the event to warn other outsiders against seeking early release. 90
