Background / History
Morit served as the Plane Guardian of the Qingya Plane before becoming Lota's loyal attendant and emissary. In that earlier role, he personally imprisoned numerous outsiders in the Gobada Plane Prison, including Adkins; the experience left Adkins with a lasting hatred of him. 1 108
He has followed Lota since the early eras of the world. During the War of Faith, Morit was one of eight emissaries who accompanied the Dark Overlord; he alone survived, while the other seven—each a Peak Asura—fell in battle. 96
At the beginning of the story, Morit lives in seclusion with Lota on Mudu Continent. Lota entrusts him with discreet assignments, including protecting Beirut in Hell and guiding Zacharias Leilin toward profound-mystery fusion in the Plane Prison. 1 2
Appearance
Morit is tall and slender, with jade-like hands, six ears, and distinctive golden eyes. His ordinary appearance is refined and restrained, contrasting with his beastlike combat transformation. 1 2 95
- Golden eyes and six ears, the latter turning golden when he transforms. 1 95
- In combat, white fur covers his body, his teeth become barb-like, and special patterns appear across his palms. 95
- He manifests armor and a self-moving cape whose motions follow unusual patterns. 95
- His transformed weapon of choice is a gray-gold long rod with intricate concave and convex textures. 95
Personality
Morit is unfailingly obedient toward Lota, treating every order from the Dark Overlord as his highest priority and avoiding questions even when he does not understand Lota's intentions. 2
Despite his age and power, he can be unexpectedly considerate toward people Lota has taken an interest in. He respects Leilin's potential, explains the path of profound-mystery fusion, rewards Xius and Burgess with divine sparks, and later agrees to spar with Leilin to help him improve. 3 4 111
In battle, Morit is proud, direct, and eager for a worthy challenge. He openly invites opponents to attack together at the God Tomb, regarding the conflict as a rare chance to fight seriously after countless years. 95
Abilities & Skills
Law of Light and Divine Clones
Morit cultivates the Law of Light and possesses a Light Divine Clone and a Fire Element Divine Clone. His Light Clone is his strongest body and ordinarily remains near Lota, while his Fire Clone was assigned to secretly watch over Beirut in Hell. 2
- The Fire Element Divine Clone possesses Asura-level strength and specializes in overwhelming offensive techniques. 2 9
- His Light Divine Clone is regarded as among the strongest beings below Grand Perfection and is far stronger than his Fire Clone. 10 11
- He can deploy and retract a God's Domain on Lota's command. 6 8
- His Fire Clone can condense a golden fireball from gathered Fire Elements; its heat distorts the surrounding space. 10
- Even using only fire divine power, he can easily kill Middle Gods and Demigods. 4
Light Clone Technique
Morit can turn his body into thousands of phantoms, each releasing transparent light waves that merge into a single attack. 65
- The technique compensates for the comparatively weaker material offense of the Law of Light. 65
- Destroyed phantoms can be reabsorbed as divine power and reforged into a giant blade of light. 65
- The resulting blade can tear open space and contend with opponents equipped with multiple Sovereign Artifacts. 65
One Duplicate Six
Morit's innate talent, One Duplicate Six, creates five replicated main bodies in addition to his original body. He identifies it as the talent of the Six-Eared Macaque Clan. 95
- The six bodies are indistinguishable through spiritual sense. 95
- Each body can wield a different weapon, distinguishing the ability from ordinary clone techniques. 95
- In the God Tomb, the six bodies operated through an array compared to the Angel Battle Formation, greatly strengthening and coordinating his attacks. 100
- The technique had only been used once in all of Morit's previous campaigns under Lota before its public reveal. 95
Physical Combat and Defense
Morit combines formidable physical strength with exceptional equipment and combat experience. He is considered extremely difficult for even Paragon High-Gods to kill. 3 79
- His physical strength and long rod allow his material attacks to rival attacks made with Sovereign Artifacts. 100
- He possesses Soul Defense and Material Defense Sovereign Artifacts on his Light Divine Clone. 9 100
- His gray-gold rod is formed from Ilitana's vines; though not a true Sovereign Artifact, it is comparable to one. 100
- He has accumulated substantial Dark Lord God's Sovereign Power through his service to Lota. 11
- Sovereign Power can raise an Asura's combat strength by roughly a hundredfold, but Morit avoids wasting it in ordinary spars. 11
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact — Held by Morit's Light Divine Clone. 9
- Material Defense Sovereign Artifact — Held by Morit's Light Divine Clone, making him exceptionally difficult to kill. 9 96
- Gray-gold long rod — A weapon formed from Ilitana's vines and comparable to a Sovereign Artifact. 95 100
- Dark Lord God's Sovereign Power — A reserve of Sovereign Power accumulated while serving Lota. 11
- Plane Guardian token — Previously used to activate the Qingya Plane–Gobada Plane Prison transit platform. 5
Relationships
- Lota — Master, Overlord, and the figure Morit has served for countless years. Morit follows his commands without hesitation and survived as the only one of Lota's eight War of Faith emissaries. 1 2 96
- Kakqi — Fellow emissary and frequent combat partner. They sparred when Kakqi challenged Lota, jointly guarded the God Tomb, and coordinated against invading experts. 8 11 100
- Zacharias Leilin — A talented cultivator whom Morit guided at Lota's request. Leilin remains grateful for Morit's early assistance and later seeks to spar with him. 2 5 109 111
- Beirut — An individual secretly protected by Morit's Fire Divine Clone on Lota's orders; later a companion in the Qingya Plane and God Tomb affairs. 2 88
- Quinsang — Fellow agent during the pursuit of Spark and Mel and the conflict at Tianji Mountain Range. 60 65
- Gray Ink — Old acquaintance and recurring opponent from the Plane Battlefield. Gray Ink recognizes Morit's clone-based techniques and considers him a dangerous adversary. 65
- Adkins — Former prisoner who seeks revenge against Morit for his imprisonment as Plane Guardian. 108
Story Role / Major Arcs
Guidance in the Gobada Plane Prison
Lota sends Morit to locate the newly imprisoned Zacharias Leilin and introduce him to the concept of profound-mystery fusion. Morit observes Leilin's Saint Domain cultivation, recognizes his talent for the Scorching Profound Mystery, and later reports that Leilin has found a compatibility point for Fire Element and Scorching fusion. 2 5
Morit protects Leilin's group from four God-level attackers, kills the attackers, and gives their divine sparks to Xius and Burgess while Leilin enters enlightenment after seeing Morit's technique. 4
Spar with Kakqi
When Kakqi challenges Lota and Pash, Morit becomes the chosen opponent. His Fire Divine Clone clashes with Kakqi's Water Divine Clone, but Kakqi's soul mutation and fused divine power force Morit to consider using Sovereign Power. 8 9 10
The spar establishes that Morit's Fire Clone is at a disadvantage against Kakqi's full strength, while his Light Clone—with two defensive Sovereign Artifacts—would be able to defeat Kakqi far more easily. 11
Burning Volcano and Tianji Mountain Range
Lota orders Morit and Kakqi to eliminate forces surrounding the Burning Volcano Mountain Range. Their operation eventually leads them to pursue Spark and Mel toward the Tianji Mountain Range with Quinsang. 30 57 60
At Tianji Mountain Range, Morit confronts Gray Ink, who suppresses him through an additional Material Attack Sovereign Artifact. Morit uses his thousand-phantom Light technique to hold Gray Ink back before ordering his allies to retreat from the increasingly dangerous conflict. 65
God Tomb Gatekeeper
Morit and Kakqi serve as gatekeepers on the sixteenth layer of the God Tomb. Morit permits Paragon High-Gods to proceed directly, but forces all other challengers to break through the pair's combined defense. 95
When multiple powerful challengers refuse to withdraw, Morit unveils his Six-Eared Macaque transformation and One Duplicate Six. Together with Kakqi, he prevents further challengers from reaching the seventeenth layer, exiling Qiegewen and helping seal the passage against several experts armed with Sovereign Artifacts. 95 100
Return to Qinghuo City
Morit accompanies Lota, Beirut, and Kakqi into Qinghuo City. His presence exposes his former identity to Bernas and Adkins, the latter of whom vows revenge for his imprisonment. Morit remains unconcerned and leaves the situation to Lota's judgment. 107 108
Leilin's arrival resolves the immediate confrontation. Morit later explains Lota's identity and the truth about the Plane Prison to Leilin after Lota effortlessly defeats him. 109 110
Notable Quotes
“Everyone, will you come together, or one by one!” 95
“I have followed the Overlord in countless battles, and I have only used this talent ability of mine once.” 95
Trivia
- Morit's speed within the Gobada Plane Prison is described as exceeding that of the Plane Prison's legendary kings. 2
- He considers Beirut's potential greater than Adkins's, even when Beirut is only a Demigod. 1
- His title, “Six-Eared Macaque,” was bestowed by Lota. 95
- Before the Tianji Mountain Range battle, much of the Divine Plane knew little beyond Morit's Light Law cultivation, ancient age, emissary status, and two Sovereign Artifacts. 79 95
