Background / History

Su Lu serves as the Chief of the Asian Magic Association and is one of the most influential Mages in Asia. His public reputation rises after he leads powerful Mages against major demonic threats, but his private ambition extends far beyond protecting humanity. He seeks to rule the human world as an emperor and views control over powerful Demons as the foundation of that rule 546 725 785.

At the Tyrant Mountain Range, Su Lu attempts to subjugate the True Black Dragon Emperor. He uses a years-old Forbidden Spell ritual to seal the dragon’s Dragon Breath, injure it, and prepare a Contract. When Norman and later Tang Miao disrupt the ritual, Su Lu becomes enraged. He ultimately casts a Forbidden Spell to escape, destroying half of the mountain range and killing numerous high-ranking Magic Association officials 546 547 549 550.

After the Black Dragon incident, Su Lu seeks revenge against Tang Miao. He accepts Zu Xiangtian’s proposal to challenge Tang Miao publicly, hoping to damage Tang Miao’s reputation and annex Moon Snow New City. Su Lu later sends forces to Japan in pursuit of an ancient Totem Beast. In Dubai, Su Lu attempts to obtain Feng Zhoulong’s Fusion Magic research. When Feng Zhoulong refuses to surrender the method, Su Lu orders assassins to kill him and his students while framing the attack as the work of the Black Vatican. Shaja intervenes to protect Feng Zhoulong, and Tang Miao confronts Su Lu directly 783 784 785.

The conflict culminates when Su Lu gains dark power through a deal with the Dark King. He severs his Contract with the dying Zhu Yan, abandoning the Sacred Totem to preserve himself, then battles Tang Miao with Forbidden Lightning, Space Magic, a Dark Domain, and summoned Black Dragons. After Su Lu’s defeat, the Dark King demands his soul and Dark Power. Su Lu is intensely ambitious and believes humanity should dominate the ancient beings and Demons that once ruled the world. His speech about making a True Dragon serve humanity reflects both his human-centered ideology and his desire to place himself above every other power 546.
