Background / History
Tang San was raised under Yu Xiaogang's instruction, though he later rejected Yu as his teacher. At age six, Tang San killed a four-hundred-year Mandragon Snake alone after Yu Xiaogang failed to handle it; Tang San considered this enough to settle any debt between them. He also stated that he obtained his Soul Rings independently. 182
Yu Xiaogang publicly revealed that Tang Hao had sought him out because of Tang San's identity as the son of the Clear Sky Douluo. Tang Hao's apparent objective was to use Yu's knowledge and connection to Bibi Dong to learn how a second Martial Soul could safely absorb Soul Rings, thereby cultivating Tang San into an invincible Titled Douluo. Tang San was initially unaware of this plan. 180
Zhongli later revealed that Tang San's Blue Silver Grass was connected to Ah Yin, a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor who had taken human form. Tang San learned that animal-type Soul Rings had weakened and diverted his first Martial Soul from its proper path, leading him to resent Yu Xiaogang's guidance. 184 185
After awakening his Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, Tang San's appearance changed dramatically, becoming slender and resembling Ah Yin. Tang Hao and Tang Xiao initially mistook him for her. 346
Appearance
Before awakening his bloodline, Tang San was described as rugged and resembling Tang Hao. Afterward, he took on a gentler, more refined appearance akin to Ah Yin's. 346
- His awakened body became more upright and slender. 346
- He carries the storage tool Twenty-Four Bridges Moonlight Night at his waist. 98
- He can manifest Blue Silver Grass/Blue Silver Emperor and the Clear Sky Hammer. 99 510
Personality
Tang San is determined, proud, and intensely competitive. His crushing loss to Chiyu's sword became a lasting nightmare; he resolved to forge stronger hidden weapons and challenge Chiyu and Zhongli again rather than condemn Chiyu for using a weapon. 106
He can remain calculating under pressure, attempting to bargain or provoke stronger enemies when cornered. 330 He also shows a marked divide between weakness and strength: while weak, he disguises himself, but once powerful, he drops that pretense and openly declares his ambition to become the supreme existence on the continent. 321
His conduct increasingly alienates others. The Shrek group suspected Xiao Wu's sacrifice was connected to him, and Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun later disowned him after Xiangling accused him of attempting to kill her and Guoba for the Sea God's Trident. 303 502

- Dragon Whisker Needles — highly penetrative weapons able to counter protective energy and shields; they previously pierced Zhao Wuji's defense but failed against Chiyu's shield. 99
- Godly Zhuge Crossbow — his strongest mechanical hidden weapon at the time; its volley could kill a Soul Ancestor and threaten an unprepared Soul King. 98

- Other carried weapons include willow leaf blades and bone-piercing nails. 98
Eight Spider Lances
Tang San's External Soul Bone manifests as eight spider lances, increasing his attributes and attack options. 99 310

- He later used them to significantly boost his attributes against Du Siji. 310
Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Bone Skills
Xiao Wu's sacrifice granted Tang San a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Bone and increased his power. 301
- Teleportation — used to rescue Dai Mubai from Du Siji's Sky-Tearing Claw. 310
- Invincible Golden Body — blocked Sky-Tearing Claw; Tang San exhausted his remaining use while protecting Dai Mubai. 310
- A severed right arm was restored through a ten-thousand-year right-arm Soul Bone and assistance from the Sea God's residual soul. 501
Sea God's Inheritance
Tang San received the Sea God's Light and Sea God's Heart at Sea God Island, becoming a candidate for the Sea God's inheritance. 432 433
- Completion of the first seven Sea God trials was presented as the means to resurrect Xiao Wu. 433
