Past in the Capital City

Han Bai was once associated with the Qing Country's Emperor and was reportedly his friend before becoming the feared assassin known as White Shadow Stab. He later attempted to assassinate the Emperor; despite this, the Emperor ultimately forgave him and allowed him to leave the Capital City under orders forbidding others from investigating or disturbing him. 848 849

In his early years, Lord Han was afflicted by Night Chill Erosion, a chronic injury that damaged his body, shortened his life, and obstructed his path toward Immortal Grade. He sought to surpass the limits imposed by Spiritual Roots, but his injuries and later cultivation backlash steadily worsened his condition. 84 535 696

Guardian of Ancient Moon Village

Lord Han eventually made Ancient Moon Village his secluded residence and its foremost protector. His presence alone deterred threats: even before he acted, outsiders and nearby villages regarded his name with fear. 9 239 387

He oversaw the village's Guard Team, personally recommended Fang Yue for training, arranged treatment for him, and brought Divine Doctor An to Ancient Moon Village despite the political difficulty of relying on another village's physician. 14 25 67 196

During the refugee incident, Lord Han identified the approaching phantoms as a possible unknown Transcendence-grade Anomaly, ordered a large Soul Fire to protect the refugees from Night Chill Erosion, and assigned the Guard Team to contain the danger around the village. 66

He also suspected that Ancient Moon Village contained a mole after an Anomaly attack occurred almost immediately after he left the village. He entrusted this concern to Lin Ling and Fang Yue, whom he considered reliable. 71

Conflict with the Rain Clan

Lord Han recognized the Rain Clan as an ancient and dangerous Anomaly race. Although he remained a half-step Rain Grade expert, he admitted that the clan's methods were too obscure for him to fully understand or confront alone. 367

When Elder Chen and Ma Ling'er threatened Ancient Moon Village, Lord Han intervened personally. Elder Chen considered him one of only two people in the Black Green Mountain Range he could not confidently defeat. 387

The battle left Lord Han reduced to a living head. He survived, but could not defeat Elder Chen or restore his former body, forcing the survivors of Ancient Moon Village to escort and protect him on their journey to Qingsi County. 399 404

Capture, Experiments, and Restoration

Lord Han was later captured and used as an experimental subject. Fang Yue found his head suspended in green liquid, connected to a Blood Stone-powered formation that extracted and refined his essence. 515 521

After Tian Er Jun removed the formation's black tubes, Lord Han awakened and absorbed part of the black substance implanted in his body. He concluded that this anomalous material could become a route toward recovering his strength. 525

Working with Qing Chen, he temporarily used the little Blood Hound's body as a vessel. Though this form was grotesque—a two-headed dog with Lord Han's head attached—he accepted it pragmatically because it restored mobility and combat capability. 550 551

Bai Xiaoya later destroyed Lord Han, leaving Lin Ling with one of his eyes as a transplanted source of power. Lin Ling's continued cultivation eventually enabled him to awaken Lord Han again. 702 743 941

Lord Han's revival produced a youthful body covered in black blood, with an anomalous right eye and a body unable to withstand his power for long. After further treatment, he identified himself as Han Bai and was revealed to be connected to Qing Country's missing royal lineage. 942 961

Lord Han originally appeared as an older man in green robes, often carrying a wooden sword. A faint mist surrounded him and repelled rain, while frost could gather around his hands. 9 387

He is protective of Ancient Moon Village but not idealistic about the wider Qing Country. His priority is the people and place under his protection; he openly questions why the fate of Qing Country should matter to him if Ancient Moon Village is already gone. 534

As Fang Yue's mentor, Lord Han is patient and exacting. He explains cultivation fundamentals without mocking Fang Yue's lack of knowledge, warns him about unsuitable techniques, and emphasizes that a cultivator must control Martial Arts rather than be controlled by them. 429 535 536 692
