Xu Huo led his group across the desert and into W19, where they searched for living specimens while fighting Players and navigating spatial traps. The search led them through a snowstorm to a metal cage and a confrontation with the girl who controlled space.

• Xu Huo rescued Teacher Ai from three Players in the desert, then secured a buried off-road vehicle and brought Ding Wei and Zhao Jiahua into the group.
• Xu Huo’s group crossed the desert, took in Gao Chunfeng’s family, and continued toward W19 after discovering that the energy ore might have come from Origin Stones.
• Xu Huo killed the Players who had murdered Gao Chunfeng’s family, then led his group through a maze and into W19 to investigate two living specimens.
• Xu Huo retrieved a live sample from a contaminated laboratory and fought the Players who pursued him, while the group’s vehicle was captured and the team split up.
• Xu Huo found that a spatial barrier prevented Players from reaching the south-gate specimen, so he left with Shangguan Xi and Teacher Ai to follow the sample’s trail.
• Xu Huo and Shangguan Xi fought Players in a snowstorm near a tent holding a living specimen, then Xu Huo confronted people in the woods and asked whether they had taken his vehicle.
• Xu Huo deduced that the space-controlling Player could move objects but not living beings, boarded the returned vehicle, and registered his wristband at the metal cage before the girl attacked him.

Xu Huo escorted a supposed live Alien sample to W37, where he uncovered that the specimen had died and began investigating the city’s handling of the virus. The arc ended with Xu Huo entering the quarantine zone and suspecting W37 might be marked for sacrifice.

• Xu Huo joined Kuang Wenjun, Zhu Feiyun, Shangguan Xi, and Teacher Ai to transport an Alien sample toward W37, fighting off hostile Players and dangerous creatures along the way.
• Gao Xiaoyan allowed Xu Huo’s group to travel with her, then asked him to help Ren Man achieve mental Super Evolution in exchange for rewards and assistance.
• Xu Huo trained Ren Man, who formed a Spiritual World and began Super Evolution, while Xu Huo expanded his own perception and mental control.
• Gao Xiaoyan used Truth to reveal that the caged Alien had been dead for some time, and Xu Huo refused to surrender it as conflict erupted at the training base.
• Xu Huo escaped the training base with the corpse, confirmed its virus matched the one from W18, and entered W37 Base City with his companions.
• Xu Huo investigated W37’s incineration plant and heard residents describe the city’s infection controls, experimental fields, and use of discarded Laboratory materials.
• Xu Huo killed Brother Ma’s men after they ambushed him, discovered a 48-hour side quest at the incineration plant, and posted a bounty for information about the epidemic.

Xu Huo uncovered W37’s role in the SE virus outbreak and forced its leaders to confront the consequences as the city neared collapse. After proving Luo Changren’s treatment could help infected people, Xu Huo faced Gao Xiaoyan over who would receive it and whether the plan would be kept secret.

• Xu Huo traced Teacher Ai and Luo Changren, learned that the SE virus was a genetic weapon, and broke into the R1 Laboratory to retrieve research and a treatment for its weakened variant.
• Xu Huo disrupted W37’s response with a false biological-weapon alarm and trapped enforcement Players, then entered Bird Tower and discovered that Teacher Ai and Xiong Qing had been captured there.
• Xu Huo brought Luo Changren before Mayor Gao Zhen, who admitted she had allowed the original SE virus into W37 to reduce the population and ease the city’s burden.
• After Gao Zhen died, Xu Huo questioned Luo Changren about Dr. Zhang and the Evolution Potion, then escaped with him to Bird Tower while law enforcement pursued them.
• Luo Changren’s buried box was empty, but he revealed that Dr. Zhang had given him doses intended to treat the Aftereffect of Evolution and that one dose could act as an antidote.
• Xu Huo exposed Luo Changren’s plan to use the original SE virus against Gao Zhen, gave him the treatment Potion, and identified Gao Zhen as the mastermind behind spreading the virus through an Alien sample.
• Xu Huo explained that the Dungeon’s forty-eight-hour countdown concerned the SE virus spreading beyond W37, then negotiated with Gao Xiaoyan over the treatment and an A-class item.
• Gao Xiaoyan tested Luo Changren’s Antidote on an infected girl, who quickly improved, while Xu Huo challenged her decision to sacrifice some people and warned that the outbreak could reach other Base Cities.

Xu Huo left W37 after helping expose Gao Zhen’s sacrifice and traveled to Zone 002, where he confronted kidnappers and traffickers while trying to reach Snow City. The arc ended with Mr. Chang seizing Train 133, cutting outside communications, and demanding that Xu Huo bring Young Master Dong to him.

• Xu Huo helped release the Antidote in W37, but Lou Jia took the Potion, fought him, and escaped as Bird Tower collapsed, and the Government Hall presented Gao Zhen as a martyr.
• Xu Huo and the Players cleared the Dungeon, collected their rewards, and Xu Huo received a message from Gao Xiaoyan that led him back to W37’s City Sandbox.
• After boarding a train toward E20, Xu Huo killed four Players who attacked Liang Yi, then learned about Zone 002 and its beauty contests from other passengers.
• Xu Huo arrived in Zone 002, freed a kidnapped girl, and confronted Brother Rong at a casino where Chi Minghong was attacking the trafficking operation.
• Xu Huo and Chi Minghong drove toward Xiaoyang City with Lu Qing, fended off pursuers, and helped children escape before Lu Qing left to search for her sister.
• In Xiaoyang City, Xu Huo rescued Brother Xuan’s group from traffickers, killed the shopkeeper who sold children, and set fires that helped captives break free.
• Xu Huo boarded a train for Snow City with the freed boy and accepted two million White Cash from Dong Jingxuan for the Eye of the Deceased.
• Passengers fought aboard Train 133 as Brother Lei’s group hunted an invisible Player, until Mr. Chang took control of the train and threatened to detonate twenty bombs unless Xu Huo brought Young Master Dong to him.
