Xu Huo survived the shifting ship and trapped the Players in a mental hospital Dungeon, where he helped defeat Hugo before entering Clown City. Beyond the Protective Wall, he joined a cleanup team and captured a mud-covered figure that showed signs of infection and could write.

• Xu Huo and the other Players struggled to survive aboard Captain Matt’s shifting ship as corrosive black water and giant mutated sea creatures attacked it.
• The Seventeenth Hospital instance landed on the ship, and Xu Huo guided the Players through its mental illusions while Bai Kou and the others fought Hugo.
• Xu Huo used the hospital’s horrors and successive groups of Players to wear Hugo down before Bai Kou killed him and the Players cleared the Dungeon.
• Xu Huo reclaimed the Dungeon, took an item hidden beneath Hugo’s skin, and entered Clown City, where he joined Yi Mao’s team for a cleanup mission beyond the Protective Wall.
• The team crossed into the Swamp Zone, where Liang Song shot a suspected Alien and the group warned Xu Huo not to touch its body or remove his holo-glasses.
• After a mud-covered figure attacked Yi Mao and lunged at Xu Huo, Xu Huo restrained it, removed his shattered glasses, and fed it food and water.
• Xu Huo washed mud from the figure, gave it a Potion, and restrained it when it became confused, and the figure then wrote on the ground, astonishing Yue Weiping.

Xu Huo uncovered the deception behind the cleanup mission and discovered that two Clown Cities used different glasses to identify each other as Aliens. After clearing the mission with Zhuo Wangsun, he continued through the Mist Forest and entered a vast underground fungal maze with the others.

• Xu Huo and Liang Song’s group fought off Skateboard-riding Players, then crossed the Swamp Zone and fought Aliens on a mountain path before the group split up.
• Xu Huo explored the Stone Forest Maze, reunited with Kang Yongjie and his companions, and killed Kang Yongjie and Hao Mei after learning Kang had tracked him and killed a hostage.
• Xu Huo traveled with Zhuo Wangsun and met soldiers from Batch 809, then found an underground community of Aliens who had retained their humanity and asked him to take children to Clown City for a cure.
• Xu Huo seized Master Tu’s stronghold and examined the collected samples, then concluded that the glasses used crude infection readings and learned from Sister Shan’s group that two Clown Cities existed.
• Xu Huo and Zhuo Wangsun appeared in the Blue side’s canyon, and Zhuo Wangsun planted Clown City’s flag to clear the instance.
• Xu Huo, Zhuo Wangsun, and Xin Hui escaped Aliens and the Fungi Sea, while Xu Huo used the Friendly Handkerchief to track Xin Hui through the fog.
• Xu Huo reunited with Er Gou and Siming, found the cave entrance beneath white mushrooms, and led the group into a glowing underground fungal maze.
• Xu Huo speculated that the fungal nest extended beneath Clown City and that cleanup victims fed it, then stopped the group on the suspended paths to find another way forward.

Xu Huo helped Xin Lang bring down Sunrise Clown City’s protective wall and learned that King Fungus had transferred to him. After returning to District 014 with samples that could destroy Alien toxins, he saw the authorities begin testing the fungus as the conflict over Players continued.

• Xu Huo followed the caves’ mycelium, reunited with Xin Hui, and found that the fungi were making increasingly lifelike copies of people.
• Xu Huo entered Sunrise Clown City with Xin Hui and 179, uncovered their plan to infect officials at the victory banquet, and confronted Lang Lang, who revealed the fungal plot and asked for his help.
• The Chief Political Officer turned the banquet into a massacre, but Xu Huo helped Lang Lang and Xin Hui escape as the fungal nest opened beneath the city.
• Xin Lang revealed that her blood could cure fungal infections and had already spread through the city, then died after giving Xu Huo the Nuwa Stone and explaining King Fungus’s role.
• Xu Huo received an S-rank Super rating, escaped Sunrise Clown City, and gathered King Fungus samples while rescuing Zhuo Wangsun, Siming, the female Player, and infected residents.
• Xu Huo returned to District 014 and gave Team Leader Wu King Fungus samples, while Jiang Qiao and researchers confirmed that the fungus could kill Alien toxins.
• Team Leader Wu and Team Leader Song argued over recruitment and intelligence failures, while Xu Huo woke in Ting City and warned Dai Wenqian to stop provoking him.

Xu Huo investigated the Twin Snakes Organization’s gatherings and uncovered its abductions, corpse processing, and ties to Yang City officials. He led an assault on the organization’s stronghold, rescued the captives, and left Young Master Qiu in the Special Defense Department’s hands.

• Xu Huo investigated the Twin Snakes Organization, traded ore for an item, and learned that players were disappearing after its gatherings.
• At the resort gathering, Xu Huo and his companions were separated as the Twin Snakes screened players, named Sima Xiao Er the White Envoy, and moved selected attendees through secret passages.
• Xu Huo escaped the resort and discovered that Twin Snakes members were disguising corpses as living players, while Zhou Ning survived being drugged and reported Lichun’s capture.
• The Twin Snakes drugged Xu Huo and other players and transported them in glass cabinets to Yang City, but Xu Huo broke out and learned that captives were being held at two venues.
• Xu Huo and his allies attacked Taole Club, uncovered its human-cannibalism operation, and found Tan Yang and Pu Kang among the captives being held by Young Master Qiu.
• As players attacked from across the lake and military helicopters approached, Xu Huo defeated Twin Snakes fighters, destroyed a helicopter, and returned to the clubhouse.
• Xu Huo rescued Sima Xiao Er and the other captives, rejected Young Master Qiu’s offer of a King Fungus, and met the arriving Special Defense Department as the First Association retreated.
