Harley Quinn Was Clinging to Him

Kara got up early.

The sound of the bed nearly breaking last night had naturally woken her, so while the door to the next room was still closed, she sat in the living room with a sour expression.

The clothes scattered all over the floor seemed to tell a story of what had happened, making her even angrier.

She knew Godfather ought to find himself a godmother, but deep down, she wasn't willing to accept it.

Would that mean sharing Godfather's love?

Just as Kara was lost in thought, Li Ang's bedroom door opened.

A beautiful blonde woman walked out. She was tall, with long legs and a gorgeous figure, and wore one of Li Ang's white T-shirts. Her long legs swayed casually with every step.

"Mm."

Harley Quinn was a little surprised, too. She hadn't expected to open the door and find a little girl glaring at her.

But she didn't care in the slightest. Instead, she wore a playful smile, as if she hadn't even seen Kara, casually closed the door, and went to brush her teeth and wash her face.

Kara watched all this, unable to believe the shameless bitch. She was so angry she could die.

On top of that, Harley Quinn went about her business while humming, acting as if she were the lady of the house.

Young Kara couldn't hold it in any longer.

"Who are you!?"

Kara asked, her little face icy.

"Who am I? I should be asking you that, little girl. Why are you in my house so early in the morning?"

Harley Quinn shot back.

That made Kara even angrier. She clenched her fists, wishing she could punch the woman all the way out of the Solar System.

But remembering that Godfather wanted her to be a proper young lady, she took a deep breath.

"This is my house! I don't care what kind of homewrecker you are—get out! No woman has ever been allowed to stay until the next day!"

Kara rattled off.

"Oh."

Harley Quinn's eyes lit up. "Then you've just met the first one who gets to stay until the next day."

"And I'm going to keep living here."

"Fuck!"

Kara couldn't hold back anymore and swore.

She hated this woman.

Li Ang had been listening from inside. Afraid the two of them might start fighting, he immediately opened the door and came out.

"Godfather!"

Kara, full of grievances, threw herself at Li Ang. He was in good shape now, or he wouldn't have been able to catch her as she came at him like a cannonball.

Harley Quinn did the same thing on the other side.

And she even called out,

"Daddy!"

"Ahem!"

Kara: ?

Kara nearly squeezed Li Ang into a lump of meat. Harley Quinn's choice of address had done some serious damage.

Harley Quinn really was a crazy woman.

"All right."

But Li Ang had no choice. He did his best to defuse the situation. "This is my goddaughter, Kara."

"I thought you'd had a daughter at such a young age. Turns out she's your goddaughter."

Harley Quinn said, hugging Li Ang.

She didn't care whether Kara was Li Ang's goddaughter or his biological daughter, and she wasn't afraid of taking on someone else's kid like the women before her.

If anything, she thought the little girl was pretty interesting.

Her personality was right up her alley!

If she brought her along to cause trouble...

Harley ignored Kara's murderous expression and let her imagination run wild.

"This is Harley,"

Li Ang said, introducing her to Kara.

Coming back to herself, Harley Quinn filled in the rest. "Harley Quinn. Everyone calls me Queen!"

"Harley Quinn!"

Kara was a little surprised. She looked at her godfather,

as if asking, How'd you bring this bad woman home?

"Oh, little girl, you know who I am! Looks like we're going to get along great."

Harley Quinn was thrilled.

Li Ang had serious doubts about that.

Kara's expression had never once improved. He'd never seen her this angry.

So Li Ang had no choice but to flee the battlefield. "I'll make breakfast. We still have to take Kara to enroll at school later."

"Really? I'm coming, too."

Harley Quinn immediately raised her hand to volunteer for something so fun.

Besides, she wouldn't take no for an answer.

"I won't allow it!"

Kara flat-out refused.

"How can that be? It's your first day at a new school. Of course your mommy and daddy should go with you."

Harley slipped straight into the role.

"No!!!"

Kara was no match for her and screamed.

Over in the open kitchen, Li Ang listened with his heart in his throat. He was worried Kara would lose her temper and punch Harley Quinn across the room.

So he cooked the noodles even faster and hurriedly brought breakfast over.

Harley Quinn glanced at it and asked, "Where's the Kung Pao Chicken and Mouthwatering Chicken you mentioned last night?"

At Harley Quinn's teasing look, Li Ang glared at her.

Don't bring that up in front of Kara!

Kara looked between the two of them in confusion, feeling as if she might cry.

That's it. They have a secret now!

How come she hadn't known Godfather could make those two dishes?

Harley Quinn took a bite of the noodles and said, "This tastes great. I like you more and more, honey!"

After breakfast,

Harley Quinn put her craziness to work, leaving Li Ang and Kara with no choice but to bring her along.

It was just that they obviously had no clothes for her.

She was a little taller than Kara, standing at 170 centimeters, and Kara refused to lend her any clothes.

But that wasn't a problem for Harley. She simply put on Li Ang's clothes.

A white T-shirt, a pair of jeans, and her own boots were all she needed.

She wasn't wearing her usual Harley Quinn makeup, so she seemed less crazy and more quietly beautiful.

But knowing she was Harley Quinn, Kara, who had always considered herself a champion of justice, gave her no warm welcome.

All she wanted was for this bad woman to hurry up and leave Godfather alone.

"Why is Kara only starting school now?"

Harley Quinn asked curiously as they headed out.

Li Ang explained, "Because of some special circumstances, Kara can't keep studying at her old school, so she has to switch to a new one."

"Oh, you poor thing."

Harley, the drama queen, immediately let her "maternal love" overflow. She'd always been a sympathetic person. She darted around to the other side, grabbed Kara, and said, "If anyone bullies you at school, tell me. I promise I'll blow the place up."

She thought sweet little Kara had been bullied at school.

After all, that was common in America, and especially here in Gotham.

Kara wasn't having any of it. "Even if someone does, I'll deal with them myself."

"Don't be like that, Kara. I just want to be a good mommy."

Harley Quinn said pitifully, "I've dreamed of having a daughter this adorable!"

But what she said almost made Kara lose it.

Kara fought back the urge to punch her across the room and hurried over to Li Ang's other side.

Harley immediately chased after her.

At first, she'd planned to leave once she got bored, but now she'd changed her mind.

For the sake of such an adorable daughter, she was sticking with Li Ang.

With Harley Quinn's extraordinary self-confidence, she was convinced Kara wasn't normal and had the potential to go crazy right alongside her.

After all, when Harley had just said she'd blow up the school, Kara hadn't said no!
