As comfortable and smug as Annie had been while rescuing people and killing those Warp Daemons, she was just as miserable now!
The refugees she had rescued were temporarily safe and had settled in the abandoned, enormous underground mine, which could probably accommodate tens or even hundreds of thousands of people.
