Martial Soul Fusion Skills

Martial Soul Fusion Skills combine highly compatible powers into a more powerful whole. Compatibility is not simply possessing similar Martial Souls; it is described as two powers that were once part of a single complete entity. 270

• Users must be united in intent and possess compatible Martial Souls or powers. 270
• A successful fusion can allow Soul Masters below Soul Saint to exert power beyond two major realms above their normal level. 270
• Most documented fusion skills involve two participants. The Golden Iron Triangle is noted as a rare three-person exception. 270
• A fusion may be possible between a human and a Soul Beast when their powers are compatible, though An Zhen's fusion with the Three-Eyed Golden Lion was regarded as unprecedented. 174 175
• An Zhen distinguishes his fusion with the Three-Eyed Golden Lion from a standard fusion skill: his consciousness remains dominant because it functions more like a “devouring fusion” that integrates the Soul Beast's power. 175

Development and Evolution

World Modulation Mode

An Zhen's true Martial Soul is World, also called the World Modulation Mode or Virtual World. It is identified as his soul itself: a growing world of exceptionally high status, suspected to be no weaker than the Douluo Plane. 11 18 244

Unlike conventional Martial Souls, World possesses abilities independently of Soul Rings. Its Soul Rings unlock authorities that already exist within the Virtual World rather than creating those powers from nothing. 2 5

Martial Soul Replication

By combining Imprint and Reflection, An Zhen can copy a target's Martial Soul, Soul Rings, and manifested strength. This allowed him to reproduce Martial Souls such as the Holy Light Dragon, Red Dragon, Angel, Moon, and Original Martial Soul. 19 20 125 154 161

• A copied Martial Soul can include the target's Soul Ring configuration. 19 125
• Replicating one or two Soul Rings is manageable, but maintaining three rings strains An Zhen after several minutes. 19
• Copying four rings seriously injures him, while five rings causes him to lose consciousness. 19
• Altering reality through World is judged against the target's rank, energy, and empowered state; excessive use causes backlash. 10
• World can autonomously absorb the energy of heaven and earth to strengthen An Zhen's spirit, but its erosion gradually draws him toward an emotionless Heavenly Dao-like state. 11

Soul Armor Integration

Soul Armor, also termed Soul Armament, is an internal Soul Tool system designed to fuse with and amplify a Martial Soul. It is based on the principle behind Rank 10 Soul Tools becoming life-bound through integration with the user's Martial Soul. 457 458

• Soul Armor is formed from Soul Crystal, a special metal capable of fusing with a Martial Soul and residing in the sea of consciousness. 457
• Its elemental materials must closely match the user's Martial Soul. A mismatch can weaken the Martial Soul or, in severe cases, cripple it. 457
• The safest integration method is slowly imprinting an attribute-less Soul Armor with the user's own Martial Soul aura, though this process is slow. 457 458
• Heavenly treasures with compatible attributes can dramatically accelerate adaptation and strengthen the Soul Armor's elemental properties. 458
