History

The Ten Thousand Demon Lair has a longstanding enmity with the human cultivation world. It nearly wiped out the Heavenly Origin Sect, whose legacy is connected to the modern Dao Alliance. 709

It repeatedly assaulted the southwestern border and harassed the Yilin Army’s encampment, inflicting serious casualties. Zhang Changqing consequently led a covert counterattack into the Ten-Myriad Mountains, where three Demon Ancestors prepared an ambush and discussed using captured Martial Dao Grandmasters as “blood food.” 487 488

Human cultivators continued entering the lair for ancient inheritances and heavenly treasures despite the danger. The cultivation methods that made forces such as the Dao Alliance, Great Qi Dynasty, and Heavenly Secrets Pavilion famous were reportedly recovered from Ancient Qi Practitioner ruins within the Ten Thousand Demon Lair. 637

The theft of the Nether Dragon Halberd destabilized relations among its Demon Ancestors. The Yōumíng Dragon Ancestor’s conflict with the Flame Wave Lion and the struggle over its natal weapon eventually drove the dragon from the lair. 759 827

Luo Yi later infiltrated the Ten Thousand Demon Lair by impersonating the Flame Wave Lion. While disguised, he accumulated influence, defeated rival Demon Ancestors, gained Lady White Bone’s attention, and eventually occupied the Ninth Lair after killing the Spider Demon Ancestor. 733 776 821 834

Following the Spider Demon Ancestor’s fall and escalating human incursions, White Crane Ancestor organized a high-profile expedition into human territory with the Ninth, Tenth, and Eighth Lair representatives. The force attacked the Heavenly Secrets Pavilion before being forced back toward the Ten Thousand Demon Lair. 838 840 842
