Changes in Hueco Mundo
Unlike when he performed surgeries on Masaki Kurosaki and Hae Katagiri, when he needed Tsuna's assistance for reference, Ishida Ryuuken, having mastered the Precise Saint Letters, was now able to accurately detect the abnormalities within Bazz-B's body.
Just as he was about to extend the scalpel toward Bazz-B, a murmur of conversation reached his ears.
"Surgery Level 5? What's that?" Since the last time the Auswählen, this was the first time Tsuna had seen Ishida Ryuuken perform surgery live, and he couldn't help but ask Uryū out of curiosity.
Uryū rubbed his eyes open. Actually, he wasn't quite sure either. As far as he knew, the classification of medical surgeries wasn't like that. He could only tell Tsuna his guess.
"It must be the level of difficulty of the surgery. My father probably divided the difficulty of the surgery into ten levels, and this was only of medium difficulty for him."
"Does Uncle Ryūken think he's so cool? He even set a difficulty level before the surgery, and he's going through menopause and acting like a chuunibyou?" Tsuna asked, staring at Ryūken's back.
Ishida Ryuuken's hand slipped, almost causing a large gash in Bazz-B's hand. If those two continued to spout nonsense behind his back, his reputation would be ruined.
"You two, get out!" Ryūken's sharp gaze was more terrifying than the scalpel in his hand.
Tsuna and Uryū quickly slipped out of the underground space; they certainly didn't want Ryūken's scalpel to stab them.
"Huh? Shopkeeper, what are you doing out here too?" Tsuna asked, looking at Urahara Kisuke who was following behind them Ryūken had only chased him and Uryū away.
"I wanted to ask you, what are your plans if we find any trace of the Quincy?"
"Elite guerrilla harassment is fine. Charging straight into the enemy's headquarters like the old man did is too impulsive. You know that many Quincy abilities involve concepts. If you try to force your way in alone, it's questionable whether you'll even see the main force," Tsuna said.
"We can gradually erode their power through harassment, and if we can lure Yhwach out..." Uryū pondered.
"That's perfect. We can kill him before he's completely finished, though it will kill a lot of people. We need people to hold off the Sternritter."
Seireitei Tsuna to almost all of the high-level combatants in the Bleach. He has feelings for these people, which is why he disagrees with immediately launching a full-scale war against the Quincy.
"It seems we need to expedite our cooperation with Hueco Mundo. I think the tactic of using Bleach to flank and launch surprise attacks is worth studying," Urahara Kisuke said.
The idea of teaming up with Grimmjow to take down a member of the Royal Guard was originally Urahara's, but it was brought up earlier now.
"Sure, Hueco Mundo will lead a team from Grimmjow to exchange ideas. We can then design some tactical combinations based on the strengths and weaknesses of both sides..."
Tsuna and Urahara chatted, the conversation turned to how to deal with the Quincy army. They only stopped when Bazz-B came out of the basement.
"How are you feeling?" Tsuna asked, looking at the somewhat weak Bazz-B.
"It's better than ever before. Some kind of limitation within my body seems to have disappeared, but my Vollständig doesn't seem to be complete anymore."
Bazz-B condensed his Vollständig, and the small stick behind him, about the length of a chopstick, was hardly worthy of being called wings.
"The boost Yhwach gave you has simply disappeared. With your experience, it's only a matter of time before you can train again." Tsuna didn't think it would be difficult.
"I see."
"By the way, I discussed it with the shop manager, and starting tomorrow you'll be a combat assistant at the Shino Academy, mainly helping students understand the abilities of Quincy." Tsuna announced the results of their discussion.
"Me? To teach the future Bleach?"
Bazz-B pointed to himself, his face full of reluctance. He hated Yhwach, but the honor of the Quincy had not disappeared from his bones. Asking him to train Bleach was simply unacceptable.
"You still have to live, and this is a job that will allow you to live in Seireitei."
Tsuna's words silenced Bazz-B; he had to make a living, and it was already a favor that the Seireitei hadn't imprisoned him.
"Furthermore, Old Man Yamamoto is the Dean of the Shino Academy. I probably don't need to elaborate on his fire manipulation skills. If you, as a junior, were to ask him for guidance, perhaps..."
"No need to say anything, I agree!" Bazz-B said immediately. In the Sternritter, no one had similar abilities to him. He could only figure out the series of moves of the Burning Finger on his own.
Bazz-B was originally quite proud, believing that no one could ignore his Burning Finger attack. However, all of this was shattered after witnessing Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto's Melting Double Bone.
To receive guidance from such a senior figure, even if it meant paying Bazz-B his own pocket, would be worthwhile.
"Here, take this. It's a communicator. You can contact us directly if anything happens." Urahara handed a phone to Bazz-B. "If Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto still has doubts about you, you can show him the video inside."
"Video?"
"It's nothing important, just the scene of you wielding a knife against Yhwach."
Upon hearing Urahara's explanation, Bazz-B immediately understood that what he held in his hand wasn't just a communicator; it was practically his pledge of allegiance to the Bleach faction.
If he hadn't made that cut, he probably wouldn't have been a teaching assistant, but rather a first-class prison seat.
Two days after Bazz-B entered Seireitei, his outgoing personality made it easy for him to get along anywhere.
After discovering that, due to Uryū, the Bleach's discrimination against Quincy wasn't as great as he had imagined, Bazz-B began to let loose.
The Squad 11 and 6th Division are his favorite places to visit in his spare time. He can have friendly conversations with Bleach in the Squad 11, and his friend Renji Abarai is in the 6th Division.
As two trendy guys from the opposing factions of Bleach and Quincy, now free from their antagonistic constraints, they begin to admire each other's aesthetic sense, and their feelings for each other quickly intensify. Renji even makes a promise to take Bazz-B to their favorite toy store after he gets paid.
In Seireitei, the most difficult person for Bazz-B to deal with was Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto always remained lukewarm towards Bazz-B's requests for guidance.
However, Bazz-B was not one to give up easily, and he believed that one day he could wear Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto down until he agreed.
In the First Division Barracks, Tsuna was having tea with Kyōraku, while Nanao was brewing the tea.
"You're really quick. You've already got Nanao as the Vice-Captain of the First Division." Tsuna's gaze kept sweeping back and forth between Kyōraku and Nanao. He didn't believe that Kyōraku didn't have any special feelings for him.
"Thanks to Azashiro, he has the entire Seireitei his control. His learning ability is too fast. We'll arrange his inauguration ceremony in a couple of days."
It was precisely because of the intelligence loophole in Seireitei, Soya Ashirogi, that Kyōraku was able to completely trust Bazz-B, the Quincy, to wander around Seireitei.
Currently, Bazz-B is only symbolically supervised by a Bleach from the Shino Academy; the person truly monitoring him from the shadows is Soya Ashirogi.
Thanks to Soya Ashirogi freeing Nanao, Kyōraku suddenly had some free time and was able to have some space to drink tea with Tsuna.
"By the way, what did you call me here for?" Tsuna asked.
"The Vice-Captain returned from Hueco Mundo the day before yesterday. They said Grimmjow will bring Arrancar to Seireitei in a couple of days. If you have time, could you keep an eye on them for me?" Kyōraku said.
This was mainly to avoid causing panic among the Bleach. The Seireitei hadn't seen any Hollows for a long time, and if a group of Arrancar of the rank of Gillian or higher suddenly appeared, they would need someone with enough prestige to keep things in check. Tsuna was able to keep both sides in check.
"No problem." Tsuna readily agreed. This kind of thing only needs to be done twice, and the Bleach and Arrancar will get used to it.
"Huh? What a coincidence? They're here already?" Tsuna felt the spiritual pressure of Hollows coming from the sky above Seireitei. He peeked out and saw a Garganta slowly opening in the sky.
Contrary to the grand spectacle of a large gap in one's imagination, this Garganta was very small, only wide enough for two people to pass through. A figure fell from the air, landing on its back.
Tsuna immediately gave chase and caught the falling figure in mid-air. It was Grimmjow, no doubt, but he hadn't brought Arrancar troops with him, and he was covered in wounds.
"Tsuna, what's going on?" Kyōraku caught up as well, his Flash Step speed slightly slower than Tsuna's, a step behind.
"His injuries were inflicted by the Quincy."
Tsuna immediately recognized that the bloody holes on Grimmjow's body were caused by the Quincy's Spirit Bow and Arrows. At this point, the only Sternritter capable of inflicting such Quincy on Grimmjow were the Sternritter.
"The Quincy army has gone to Hueco Mundo!" Kyōraku immediately concluded.
Tsuna tossed Grimmjow to Kyōraku, "Kyōraku- nii, please arrange for someone to take him to the Fourth Division. I'm going to Hueco Mundo. Oh, and tell Old Man Yamamoto to stay put and guard Soul Society!"
Tsuna finished speaking, he waved his hand, broke open the Garganta that Grimmjow had opened earlier, and went inside, hoping to reach the location where Grimmjow had come from through the same path.
"Captain-Commander!" Nanao immediately called out when she saw Kyōraku returning with someone.
"Arrange for someone to take him to the Fourth Division, notify all captains to assemble, and put the Seireitei on high alert. Send Genjirō Ōko to the academy to invite Master Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto to oversee the central Seireitei!"
Just like Tsuna, Kyōraku also suspected that the Quincy's actions were a diversionary tactic, and that they needed Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto to protect the base before they could proceed with their plans.
Hueco Mundo is in complete disarray. As the captain of the Hueco Mundo Hunting Team, codenamed J, Cang Du Opie is leading a group of Quincy in a massacre of Hollows.
Simply put, the Quincy have their eyes on Hueco Mundo, Cang Du were sent to clean up the area, removing the original debris so that the Quincy army could set up camp there.
Previously Grimmjow was leading his party to the Soul Society when they encountered Cang Du, who emerged from the shadows. The two engaged in a fierce battle, which ended with Grimmjow being severely injured and forced to flee.
As for the Arrancar that Grimmjow brought, they were all wiped out by the hunting party.
"A palace in such a disgusting place? It's barely usable as a temporary lodging."
Cang Du's words revealed his disgust for Las Noches, because as Quincy, he was extremely annoyed by the fact that the surrounding area was filled with Hollow Reishi.
Cang Du's gaze sharpened, and he swung a military blade formed from Reishi, slicing through the Cero shot fired by Las Noches.
Seeing the mangled corpses all around, the newcomer coldly asked, "What did you do to Grimmjow and the others?"
