Background and History

Nanoha initially describes herself as an ordinary third-grade student. Her life changes after she follows a call for help on a secluded path, expecting the sort of extraordinary encounter found in manga 17. She enters the magical world through Yuno Scrya and quickly becomes involved in the conflict over the Seeds of the Holy Stone.

Her first encounters with Fate Testarossa are hostile. Fate’s speed initially overwhelms Nanoha, but Nanoha responds by releasing her stored magic through Raising Heart and firing Divine Buster; their attacks collide as Divine Buster and Thunder Smasher 17. Nanoha remains determined to reach Fate rather than abandon her, declaring that she will make Fate listen to her “properly” 21.
