Background

Ai became one of the System Network's most mission-focused hosts after Chu Chen explained that the system could eventually grant resurrection-related rewards. She treated an identity card reward as insurance for her sister Miyano Akemi's eventual return. 1

After completing Class Card-related missions, Ai used a Holy Grail wish to revive Akemi. The resurrection succeeded, though Akemi returned at Ai's current size, mirroring Ai's own earlier transformation after taking APTX. 11

Her early system rewards pushed her toward research and support work.
