Background / History

Li Fan entered Ink Bamboo Mountain as a newcomer and became the disciple of Real Person Wanshu. In the scripture hall, Profound Heaven Sword Intent guided his hand toward the Basic Sword Qi Introduction and Secret Refining Outline of the Five Luo Sword Ghosts of Taiyin. His exceptional aptitude became immediately apparent when he opened his Qi Sea overnight. 5

He was originally unfamiliar with the cultivation world, but the system's translation and Profound Heaven Sword Intent's instruction allowed him to quickly understand the post-celestial Dao path and its use of Qi. His early cultivation centered on sword arts, especially the Qiankun Flying Dragon Sword and Five Luo Sword Ghosts. 6 13

Li Fan later learned that the body he inhabited was connected to Li Yi, a royal descendant of Li Country. He rejected attempts to place him in the succession struggle, refusing to become a puppet ruler for the Guo family. 100 104 106 107

His connection to Beichen Sword Sect deepened through Profound Heaven Sword Intent, Xuantian, recovered sword pellets, and the Beichen Seven Star Sword. He inherited and developed several Sword Sect methods while pursuing its surviving legacy and treasures. 72 222 345

As his Tai Su cultivation advanced, Li Fan increasingly relied on Dao Bodies, clones, and malevolent energy. He eventually completed the Tai Su Qiankun Dao Body, though he continued to restrain his true form in order to preserve his humanity and act by human rules. 326 452 461

Personality

Li Fan is pragmatic, curious, and highly adaptable. He studies unfamiliar techniques, sects, mechanisms, and political situations with unusual speed, then incorporates useful knowledge into his own plans. He frequently uses disguises and false identities to avoid being trapped by larger factions. 15 106 206 350

In combat, he is ruthless and calculating. He uses feints, psychological pressure, terrain, formations, and expendable treasures rather than relying solely on direct strength. When facing enemies who threaten him or his allies, he is willing to kill decisively. 121 295 363

Despite his manipulative streak, Li Fan repeatedly protects people he considers his responsibility. He takes in disciples, aids injured cultivators, rescues Li Wugou, and seeks solutions to Li Country's grain crisis and the exploitation of slaves in the capital. 123 148 403 436 492
