The Death Eaters on the ground froze when they saw their master being carried like a dead dog.
A moment later, they came to their senses. Some bolted like startled animals, fleeing for their lives.
Others gave up resisting altogether and even dropped their wands on the ground.
The Aurors also recovered and tried to stop the fleeing Death Eaters. But people often found extraordinary strength in desperate situations, and some Death Eaters actually broke through their blockade and escaped.
Just then, Matthew waved his wand. The ground in the distance turned into a swamp, trapping every Death Eater who had escaped the encirclement.
The Aurors quickly caught up and subdued them.
Carrying Voldemort, Matthew approached Dumbledore.
"I found the Horcrux. It's Voldemort's pet snake, Nagini. He hid her in Albania," Matthew said.
"Albania? The place where Voldemort spent over a decade in hiding..." Dumbledore considered this for a moment before asking, "Does he have any other Horcruxes?"
"Including Harry, Voldemort had seven Horcruxes in total. Apart from the resurrected Diadem Horcrux and Nagini, all the others have been destroyed," Matthew said. "I'll leave him in your custody for now. I need to find Nagini and destroy the Horcrux."
"Leave things here to me." Dumbledore nodded, indicating that he could handle the situation.
Space twisted around Matthew, and he vanished.
The next moment, he arrived in a primeval forest in Albania, at a location he had found in Voldemort's memories.
Matthew searched for Nagini's presence. After fully transforming into a great snake, she had lost her ability to cast spells, but the magic within her remained. He soon sensed her location.
She was hiding in a secluded gorge, an uninhabited wilderness untouched by humans. Neither Muggles nor wizards often came to places like this, making it an ideal hiding place.
