Background / History

Bibi Dong was Spirit Hall’s Saintess and Qian Xunji’s student. Yu Xiaogang approached her to gain access to Spirit Hall’s library, won her trust, and became her lover. She was prepared to abandon her position and leave with him. Xu Fan’s notebook presents this relationship as deliberate exploitation rather than genuine affection 14.

To prevent her departure, Qian Xunji sexually assaulted Bibi Dong in a secret room. Qian Renxue was born afterward. Bibi Dong associated her daughter with that trauma, developing intense resentment toward her; Qian Daoliu eventually sent Qian Renxue away. Bibi Dong later killed Qian Xunji, an act she identifies as the beginning of her Rakshasa examination 50 284.

Her early knowledge of Xu Fan comes through a mysterious notebook containing his supposed memories of a previous life.
