Background / History
Tang Hao was a member of the Clear Sky Sect and the brother of Tang Xiao and Tang Yuehua. His loyalty to the sect was portrayed as extreme: he reportedly considered even his personally obtained soul bones to belong to the sect, and later returned inherited soul bones at the cost of crippling himself. 7
Accounts recorded in Xu Fan’s notebook alleged that Tang Hao and Tang Xiao recognized Ah Yin as a transformed soul beast when they met her, and that Tang Hao may have engineered the circumstances of Martial Soul Hall discovering her in order to obtain her sacrifice and become a Title Douluo. These claims were presented as hearsay from other titled Douluo, rather than confirmed fact. 3
After Ah Yin’s sacrifice, Tang Hao fought Martial Soul Hall while carrying the newborn Tang San. Xu Fan’s account claims the original Tang San died during that battle and that the present Tang San’s soul came from another world; Tang Hao nevertheless raised him as his son, allegedly because of Tang San’s twin martial souls and potential as a weapon of revenge. 3 125
Appearance
Tang Hao commonly conceals himself beneath a worn black cloak and hood. Following his battle with Lingyuan and Xu Fan, his right arm is missing and his body bears extensive old and recent wounds. 124 154 309 310

Personality
Tang Hao is driven by revenge against Martial Soul Hall, restoration of the Clear Sky Sect, and later hatred toward Xu Fan. He is repeatedly described as placing the sect’s interests above personal relationships, including Ah Yin and Tang San. 3 7 125
His setbacks intensify his desperation. When Lingyuan outmatched him, he detonated eight soul rings for a temporary surge in power; after his defeat and maiming, he focused on making Tang San stronger and directing him toward revenge. 127 154 155
Seeing Ah Yin alive initially leaves Tang Hao stunned and shaken, but he quickly returns to pursuing Xu Fan’s secrets and power. 124 125

Defeat by Lingyuan
Outside Suotuo City, Tang Hao fights Lingyuan. He deploys the Slaughter God’s Domain and Great Sumeru Hammer, but Lingyuan counters him with her Fire Phoenix domain and Martial Soul True Body. 126
Unable to overcome her through ordinary means, he detonates eight soul rings. Lingyuan evades and exhausts him through hit-and-run tactics until the technique’s effects fade. 127
