Background / History

Tang San is raised by Tang Hao and initially enters the Shrek Academy period at age twelve. Xu Fan identifies him as the son of Clear Sky Douluo Tang Hao and the Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast Blue Silver Emperor, Ah Yin, as well as the wielder of Twin Martial Souls: the Blue Silver Emperor and Clear Sky Hammer. Xu Fan also portrays him as a future inheritor of the Asura God's position and a past-life rival. 1 2

His parentage is disputed within the story. Xu Fan claims that the original infant Tang San died during Tang Hao's escape from Martial Soul Hall, and that the current Tang San's soul was brought from another world by the Asura God. Tang Hao nevertheless treats him as his son, while Tang San identifies Ah Yin as his mother. 3 154

Tang San becomes Yu Xiaogang's disciple. Xu Fan's account argues that Yu Xiaogang steered Tang San's plant martial soul toward a control route rather than developing its vitality and life-element potential. 15

Appearance

Tang San is a boy of roughly twelve or thirteen, nearly 1.7 meters tall and slightly shorter than Xu Fan. His ordinary appearance does not stand out in a crowd. 11

When the Blue Silver Forest has been relocated and his bloodline awakening becomes impossible, he vows to become the strongest Soul Master without the Blue Silver Emperor. 155 During the Spirit Hall incident, his resolve shifts toward rescuing Xiao Wu and avenging Tang Hao. 311 314

He can also think tactically in battle, recognizing the need to target an opposing support Soul Master when faced with a major team-strength disparity. 119
