Watching Cavendish turn and leave, Bartolomeo wore the smile of a victor.

Then he grinned and said, "Why should I open a barrier for a kid like you?"

"What if Robin-senpai ended up in danger?"

If Robin-senpai got hurt while she was with him, he would have no way to answer to Luffy-senpai.

Right, how was Robin-senpai doing?

Thinking of that, Bartolomeo turned his gaze behind him.

"Robin-senpai?"

Seeing Nico Robin holding a Den Den Mushi, confusion appeared in Bartolomeo's eyes. Who was she calling?

"I'm checking in with Merry," Nico Robin explained.

"Bolo bolo bolo~"

"Bolo bolo bolo~"

"Bolo bolo bolo~"

"Kaga~"

"This is Merry."

"It's me, Robin." Robin said, "How are things on your end? Did you get the key to Luffy?"

With Merry there, Rebecca's chances of survival were extremely high, but no one knew whether something unexpected might happen. She needed to make sure.

"I'm fine. Rebecca and I are both safe," Merry said. "I also gave the key to Luffy. He and Law have already entered the Royal Palace. They should be fighting Doflamingo right now."

"That's good."

Nico Robin sighed in relief. It seemed things were progressing very smoothly.

"The soldier seems to be having a hard time fighting the top executive, Diamante," Merry said. "I'm considering whether to go down and help him, but if I do, I might not be able to protect Rebecca."

If she focused all her attention on Diamante, something might happen on Rebecca's side.
