Hog Was About to Go on a Rampage!

After night fell, Hog sat in Anduin's office, idly fiddling with the remote control that operated the Basilisk.

He'd heard that Professor McGonagall and Headmaster Dumbledore had gone to the Ministry of Magic. Hog knew that once Ministry officials got involved, he probably wouldn't be able to keep the Basilisk for more than a few days.

So he'd already made up his mind: in the next couple of days, he'd have the Basilisk launch an all-out attack on the young wizards and turn Hogwarts upside down.

As for the Chamber of Secrets, Hog wasn't too worried. From what he'd observed, Harry—the only one who could open it—had recently been keeping clear of the student groups, along with Hermione, Ron, and Neville.

And even if the kids really did plan to enter the Chamber, Hog would be alerted right away. He could turn the tables and trap them inside.

How should he mess with the little brats? Hog mulled over all sorts of wicked ideas, an irrepressible smirk spreading across his face.

"Knock, knock, knock!"

Just as Hog's imagination was running wild, someone suddenly knocked on the office door.

"Hm? Who'd be knocking at this hour? Are they looking for the grown-ups? No, that can't be right. The staff and students should know that the master does experiments every night and has no time for visitors."

Hog tilted his head in confusion, then decided not to dwell on it and opened the door.

To his surprise, the Weasley Twins stood outside, looking anxious. The moment they saw Hog, they hurriedly called out, "Where's Professor Wilson? Something terrible happened at the training ground!"

"What are you two in such a hurry for?" Hog remained perfectly calm in the face of their urgency, even eyeing them warily. "The master isn't here right now.
