Background / History

Tang Wulin entered Class Zero as a one-ring Soul Master whose extraordinary Golden Dragon Claw made up for his comparatively low Soul Power. He and Xie Xie immediately coordinated against the newly arrived Huo Yuhao, but even Tang Wulin's decisive claw attack could not overcome the gap between them 53 54.

He joined the Tang Sect alongside Xie Xie after completing the Hall of Heroes assessment. He was also an accomplished blacksmith: a fourth-rank blacksmith under Mu Chen and Mang Tian, he introduced Huo Yuhao to the Eastsea Blacksmith Association for the Heaven Sea Alliance Tournament 60 71.

Tang Wulin's Golden Dragon King bloodline was both his greatest weapon and a fatal danger. Di Tian attempted to extract it, provoking the protective manifestation of Tang San's avatar within Tang Wulin's body; the resulting Sea God's Light severely injured Di Tian 64 65. Later, damage to one of the eighteen seals caused the bloodline to erupt prematurely, leaving Tang Wulin unconscious and forcing him to confront the limits of his cultivation speed 119 121.

He ultimately accepted Huo Yuhao's proposal to extract the bloodline into Na'er. Though he lost the Golden Dragon Claw, the removal of the suppressive bloodline allowed his own Martial Soul and cultivation talent to awaken fully 143 182 183.

The extraction was performed in multiple stages. By the third procedure, Huo Yuhao had mastered the required magic well enough to perform it without Electrolux's direct assistance, further advancing Tang Wulin's Blue Silver Grass into the Blue Silver Emperor 200. The Golden Dragon King bloodline was ultimately fully removed from Tang Wulin's body, leaving him unable to use either the Golden Dragon Claw or the Golden Dragon Spear Tang San expected him to possess 443.

He values his companions and trusts those who have earned it. He placed his life in Huo Yuhao's and Na'er's hands during the bloodline extraction, while accepting that survival mattered more than retaining his strongest offensive ability 142 143 182. In battle, he is confident and adaptable, willing to seek stronger opponents to test himself 85 209.

Tang Wulin is also conscientious and unwilling to benefit at another's expense. Old Tang's unauthorized seizure of the Vast Sea Cosmic Crystal leaves him ashamed and unable to face his companions, and he later confronts Old Tang directly over the incident 399 443.
