"No—quick, let him go!" Spider-Man panicked and blurted out, "You're a heartless maniac! He's your—"

"Shut up, Spider-Man!" Guan Heng suddenly cut him off. He shook his head at Spider-Man, signaling for him not to say the rest.

The Green Goblin's eyes narrowed abruptly. He stared at Guan Heng with a strange look.

"Heh heh heh! You two righteous partners, don't make any rash moves. If I loosen my grip, this living person will be a corpse in an instant!" The Green Goblin was as deranged as ever.

Guan Heng gave Peter a meaningful glance, and Peter immediately understood.

Spider-Man called out loudly, "Caterpie, have you got a screw loose? You're taking a hostage to threaten us? We don't even know him. Catching you is more important. The police are offering a reward for your capture everywhere, and we think trading you in for cash makes more sense. Right, Exorcist?"

"Absolutely!" Guan Heng shouted. "Move!"

In a flash, Spider-Man fired two strands of webbing. One wrapped the Green Goblin up tight; the other stuck to the Flying Skateboard's propulsion unit. The skateboard lost power and plummeted toward the street below.

"Ah!" Harry cried out. Still unconscious, he began falling too.

"No! Son!" Norman, suddenly restored to his kind-hearted personality, screamed.

"Hmph, so you do care about him." Guan Heng had already darted off the rooftop. He caught Harry securely, and the Giant Dragonfly Emperor appeared with a beat of its wings. It glided sharply upward, caught Guan Heng and Harry, and carried them back to the rooftop in the blink of an eye.

The weakened Green Goblin was bound tightly in webbing. When he saw that Guan Heng had rescued his son safely, Norman said feebly, "Thank you."

"Looks like your kind-hearted personality has the upper hand right now." Guan Heng gently laid the unconscious Harry in a safe corner, then turned back to Peter. "We'll keep the fact that you're the Green Goblin from Harry for now, until we think he's psychologically ready to handle the truth. Right, Spider-Man?"

"I agree with your decision." Peter nodded.

"Besides, your inventions aren't entirely useless," Guan Heng told Norman. "I've decided to use them to train Harry to fight for justice, making up for the mistakes you've made. That way, your hard work won't go to waste."

"I'm truly grateful. These inventions are like my children, and I hope they can watch over my son and help him become a good person." Norman's face was pale. "As for seeing your face at the carnival, I'll take that secret to my grave."

"I couldn't care less about that." Guan Heng shrugged and took off his mask. "Besides, I know Osborn Enterprises is on the verge of bankruptcy. I've decided to persuade Mr. Tony Stark to acquire your company, so it won't be flattened by government bulldozers. Don't worry."

A little later, Spider-Man called Hill at S.H.I.E.L.D. and asked her to come clean up the mess. Guan Heng took the opportunity to visit Norman's office and collect samples of the Body Strengthening Potion. They would be very useful to him. Once he acquired Osborn Enterprises, he planned to set up a laboratory to study physical enhancement. It would be a great help to both him and the Super Zombies.

Less than five minutes after they returned to the top floor, the sound of car tires screeching to a halt came from the street below. Guan Heng looked down and saw a number of S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicles parked outside the Osborn Enterprise Building. The agents got out, led by the beautiful agent Maria Hill.

Hill waved her hand, directing the agents. "Quickly, secure everyone involved. Set up a perimeter and clear out the bystanders. Get them to move farther away." Then she gestured to the others. "Let's go in. Catching the Green Goblin is the priority."

Guan Heng heard the clatter of high heels on the stairs. Hill appeared in the doorway on the top floor, directing the agents as they led away the Green Goblin, head hanging.

"Hill, I hope you'll train Harry Osborn properly and teach him right from wrong. Don't let him follow the same criminal path as his father," Guan Heng suggested. "Have Harry use Norman's equipment to do good for the public. That way, the inventor's hard work won't have been wasted."

"I'll give your suggestion serious thought. All in all, it's a good idea. The more people on the side of justice, the better." Hill considered it, then nodded. "I promise I'll do everything I can to help."

"By the way, what are you going to do with Osborn Enterprises?" Guan Heng asked.

"I'm not really sure," Hill said, spreading her hands. "The company's suffering serious losses and is on the verge of bankruptcy. Following standard procedure, it may be put up for public auction."

"Is that so? I have a good idea." Guan Heng smiled. "I've decided to acquire Osborn Enterprises independently. Honestly, I'm very fond of it. It's a longtime leader in the biochemical industry. It's been poorly managed, but that doesn't mean it can't turn things around."

"What?" Hill and Spider-Man were both stunned. "Where did you get that much money?"

"Well, when Tony and I took a vacation at sea, I accidentally found a box of jewelry." Guan Heng answered modestly. "I sold the jewelry and used the money to buy ten percent of Stark Enterprises. That should be enough to acquire Osborn Enterprises on my own."

"What a turn of events!" Hill marveled. "A few months ago, you were a delivery boy. Now you're a billionaire. It's not that we couldn't have imagined it—the world's just changing too fast."

"Oh no, this is bad!" Guan Heng suddenly slapped his thigh.

Spider-Man and Hill jumped, then asked at the same time, "What's wrong? Does the Green Goblin still have accomplices on the loose?"

Guan Heng made a miserable face. "If I'd known I was going to acquire this place, I wouldn't have gone at it like I was tearing down the building. Now I'll have to pay a huge repair bill. It's breaking my heart."

Spider-Man and Hill were drenched in sweat.

Peter said, "Um, actually, I barely got a chance to do anything just now. You did most of the fighting, so I won't make you split the repair bill with me."

Seeing Guan Heng eyeing her with a shifty look, Hill curled her lip. "Don't look at me. The agency won't reimburse you. Even if Fury smashed this place up, he wouldn't get a single cent out of Finance. You'll have to figure out how to cover the damages yourself."

Guan Heng's eyebrows twisted together. "Fighting on your own turf really is a losing deal. I haven't made any money, and I already have two big expenses to pay. Sigh."

"By the way, what are you going to do with Norman Osborn?" Guan Heng suddenly asked. "He has a split personality, with both good and evil sides. That must make it hard to decide how to handle him."

"That depends on what the director decides. Even the lightest punishment would involve a period of treatment for his mental illness," Hill said. "In any case, you won't be seeing him for a long time."
