| Name | Ayanokoji Kiyotaka (綾小路) |
| Alias(es) | “White House’s greatest masterpiece” 163 281 |
| Gender | Male |
| Affiliation | Advanced Nurturing High School; Class C 167 |
| Occupation/Role | Student; former White House subject |
| First Appearance | Chapter 1 |
Background
Ayanokoji was confined in the White House from childhood, an artificial-genius project established by his father, Ayanokoji Atsuomi. The program subjected selected children to cruel selection; Kiyotaka emerged as its foremost success and possessed knowledge and experience beyond his peers. Despite this, he wanted an ordinary life rather than the future his father intended for him. 163 167
He escaped the White House roughly half a year before Atsuomi located him at Advanced Nurturing High School. Matsuo Eiichiro, another exceptional White House creation and the son of its operator, helped him flee; Ayanokoji regards the escape as having come at Matsuo’s cost. 163 167
At school, Ayanokoji initially keeps a low profile and struggles with friendship. He becomes close to Akasaka Ryunosuke, though their relationship is repeatedly defined by mutual utility, manipulation, and protection. 2 90 177
Appearance
Ayanokoji is a 1.75-meter-tall boy with the same hair color as his father. He is repeatedly described as blank-faced or expressionless, with “dead” eyes that initially make him seem unremarkable. 22 44 167
- Maintains a nearly constant poker face, even during conflict or surprise. 1 157
- Uses an outwardly ordinary, inconspicuous demeanor to conceal his capabilities. 285
- His expressionless appearance makes attempted displays of surprise appear perfunctory. 167
Personality
Ayanokoji’s central desire is simple: to live as an ordinary student, free from the White House and his father’s control. He resists Atsuomi directly and rejects the expectation that he will return to inherit the White House’s legacy. 167 168
He is calculating, emotionally restrained, and willing to treat people as tools when it benefits his objectives. He sells information on Akasaka to Amasawa, frames Akasaka to deflect Nanase’s vengeance, and later conspires with Ryuen to expel Akasaka. 282 291 446 He openly characterizes his bond with Akasaka as a friendship in which betrayal is possible. 446
His time with Akasaka nevertheless changes him. When resolving Nanase’s hostility, he chooses to remove her grudge rather than eliminate her, partly out of consideration for Matsuo and partly because her cooperation could help Akasaka later. 317
Abilities & Skills
White House Training
Ayanokoji possesses extensive knowledge, combat training, and analytical ability acquired in the White House.
- Was recognized as the White House’s undisputed strongest student. 281
- Identified Amasawa as a White House-trained fighter by recognizing the instructors behind her movements. 281
- Learned Xiaoli after observing Kaku Kaioh use it once, though he pretended that mastery had taken months to avoid returning to the White House. 437
- Has exceptional adaptability; after misreading Hasebe’s confession, he consciously avoids making the same mistake with Yotsuba. 245
Combat
Ayanokoji is a highly capable unarmed combatant who normally conceals his strength.
- Defeated an attacker with repeated elbows, an over-the-shoulder throw, and a finishing kick. 217
- Considered facing more than one hundred second-year students alongside Akasaka and Koenji, despite having no prior experience against such numbers. 217
- Handled Yagami’s attacks with one hand and protected Akasaka from being caught in their fight. 284
- Evaded Amasawa’s initial attack and immediately attempted a neck strike to incapacitate her. 281
Xiaoli
Ayanokoji can use Kaku Kaioh’s Xiaoli technique to redirect incoming force.
- Deflected Yujiro Hanma’s punches rather than meeting them head-on. 433
- His hands became numb from Yujiro’s blows, showing that the technique does not eliminate the physical strain of defending against overwhelming force. 433
Strategy and Manipulation
Ayanokoji plans around information, incentives, and other people’s vulnerabilities.
