Background

Ao's original body was critically wounded in an assassination attempt by a Flying Needle Ninja Tool. Although the Uchiha Clan had a clansman repel the attacker, the original owner died during treatment; You Sou then replaced him in Ao's body. Ao believes the clan intervened chiefly to prevent its bloodline from being exploited. 1

At the beginning of his new life, Ao regards the Uchiha Clan, Senju Clan, and Konohagakure with detachment. He focuses on exploiting his “Heaven Rewards Diligence” destiny and building enough strength to survive future assassinations and political struggles. 2

After being expelled from the Ninja Academy, Ao meets Might Duy and offers financial help before arranging an exchange: Ao will teach ninjutsu while Duy teaches taijutsu. This partnership becomes the foundation of Ao's early physical growth. 3 4

Personality

Ao is intensely pragmatic and strength-driven. He initially treats clan prejudice and political loyalty as secondary concerns, concentrating instead on survival, training, and accumulating resources. He remembers perceived betrayals, including being treated as expendable material for an incomplete Sharingan technique. 2

He is highly calculating in negotiations.
