Before a prisoner exchange with Uzushiogakure, the Second Raikage entrusted him with recovering Ivanka, a Yotsuki Clan intelligence specialist, because her knowledge of Kumogakure’s defenses was too valuable to lose. A accepted with complete confidence in his perfected Lightning Release Armor. 69

When intelligence reported that a Kage-level fighter had destroyed multiple outposts near Uzushiogakure through pure physical force, A welcomed the prospect of confronting a worthy opponent. 70

During Kumogakure’s later conflict with Konoha, A fought Uchiha Ao’s enhanced Lightning Clones.
