Background / History
The Second Raikage adopts A and entrusts him with escorting the prisoner exchange intended to recover Ivanka from Uzushiogakure. Reports that Cloud outposts have been destroyed by a possible Kage-level fighter excite A rather than deter him: he wants an opponent worthy of testing his Lightning Release Armor 69 70.
A joins Ōnoki in an assault on Uzushiogakure. Their forces are overwhelmed by Son Goku, and A is nearly killed after Uchiha Ao strikes him down with golden lightning. Wounded and humiliated, he escapes the battlefield 75 76 77 78 79.
When A encounters Ao again, Ao traps him and extracts his memories to take over his identity. The original A is later shown physically altered, conditioned into a loyal guard, and ultimately sent to accompany Hanzō as Ao’s “power slave.” Meanwhile, an Ao-controlled clone operates publicly as “A” within Kumogakure; its later decisions and battles are not the original A’s actions 106 107 108 112 119.
Appearance
A is a large, heavily muscled shinobi with bronze skin and pale yellow hair that rises amid his lightning chakra. After Ao’s capture and modifications, his original body has a scarred, unrecognizable face and vacant eyes 70 76 108 119.
