Background / History

Li Tiezhu is Qin Meng's childhood friend and a Luming Fort resident who trains with the militia. He comes from a family capable of weapon work: his father had retained Qin Lie's black zhanma dao for repairs after Qin Lie failed to return from beyond the border. 20 26

After Qin Meng reforms, Li Tiezhu returns Qin Meng's reforged ring-pommel saber and delivers Qin Lie's heavy black zhanma dao. He and Qin Meng subsequently become regular sparring partners, with each helping the other refine his martial arts. 20 26 28

During a mountain hunt, Li Tiezhu supports the badly wounded Qin Xiaoshan while fleeing a demonic wolf pack. Qin Meng's arrival saves Li Tiezhu, Wang Tieniu, and Qin Xiaoshan from being killed. 36 37 38

Personality

Li Tiezhu is loyal, direct, and protective of his companions. While fleeing the wolves, he refuses Qin Xiaoshan's request to be abandoned despite the danger to the group. 36
