Background / History

Ning Fengzhi is the father of Ning Yang and Ning Rongrong. After Ning Rongrong awakened the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda with Innate Level 9 Soul Power, she was effectively expected to inherit the sect; Ning Fengzhi instead trained the less-talented Ning Yang in business and the manipulation of people, intending for him to become Ning Rongrong's future right-hand man. 29

Ning Yang's evolution of his Martial Soul into the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda changes Ning Fengzhi's succession plans. After personally confirming the ninth level of the pagoda, Ning Fengzhi convenes Chen Xin and Gu Rong, formally designates Ning Yang as sect heir, and orders him to marry and produce descendants to preserve the evolved Martial Soul's bloodline. 40
