After the Newborn Speech, Namikaze Minato hurried back to the Hokage Building. He met up with Taka, and the two headed to the conference room.

Everyone responsible for the Root Headquarters, the Konoha Military Police Force Building, Konoha Hospital, and other locations—including Hanfu and Kakashi—had already gathered there. As soon as Minato arrived, they immediately reported on their respective situations.

Hanfu took the lead and reported first. "Lord Hokage, I successfully captured Danzo himself and have him in custody at Anbu Headquarters."

As for Fugaku Uchiha, since the matter involved the Mangekyō Sharingan and Susanoo, Hanfu planned to report it in private.

Minato smiled and nodded. Hanfu was always reliable.

He smiled at the others.

"Lord Hokage, the Root Ninja at the Ninja Academy have been captured."

"After the explosion at Root Headquarters, we found no Root members nearby."

"We found no Root members near the Konoha Military Police Force."

"We found no trace of Root at Konoha Hospital."

Minato furrowed his brow and looked at Kakashi.

Kakashi lazily stepped forward. "The explosion at the Anbu Building drew out three people. Aside from Orochimaru, the other two were disguised, and both were Shadow Clones. They dispelled themselves before we could even fight, so we couldn't confirm their identities."

"Did you find any trace of Root nearby?" Minato asked.

Kakashi shook his head. "No."

Minato's expression darkened.

Seeing this, Anbu Captain Hawk hurriedly spoke up. "Lord Hokage, Root was short on funds and manpower. Perhaps Advisor Danzo hadn't stationed any subordinates elsewhere."

Minato pondered for a moment, then shook his head. Danzo was exceptionally cautious and steady by nature. Since he'd stationed Root Ninja at the Ninja Academy as a contingency, in addition to Yamano Ichiro, he would surely have placed people elsewhere as well!

Unfortunately, the situation had already settled.
