When he left Amegakure, Nagato had already expected his old hideout to be raided. So when he sensed Jiraiya's Chakra appear on the top floor of the tower, he showed no anger or humiliation. Instead, he felt a sense of freedom, as if the sky were vast enough for birds to fly and the sea wide enough for fish to leap. After all, Amegakure had long been exposed to Konoha's scrutiny. Now that he had broken free of its constraints, how could Konoha find him?

A sinister smile spread across Nagato's gaunt, aged face. Then he slowly closed his eyes.

In the next instant, the Six Paths of Pain, standing behind him like puppets, abruptly opened their eyes.

Animal Path stepped forward, formed Hand Seals, and summoned a chameleon before climbing into its belly.

The chameleon took two steps forward, then vanished completely, disappearing beneath the hillside.

The remaining five Paths stayed by Nagato's side. If anything happened to Konan, Animal Path could summon them over immediately.

It was a bright and energetic Sunday. Early in the morning, Hanfu once again dragged a thoroughly unwilling Karin along to visit Inoichi Yamanaka's Residence.

"Why can't you adults just visit each other directly when you have business? Why drag us kids along as an excuse? You're ridiculous, selfish, hypocritical, and shameless!!"

Karin grumbled and cursed the whole way. Even Hanfu, with over twenty years of self-discipline under his belt, couldn't help dragging her to the public restroom and giving her more than a dozen hard knocks on the head!

By the time they reached Inoichi Yamanaka's Residence, Karin's head had swollen a full size.
