Beneath the enormous red torii gate stretched hundreds of meters of stone steps. Snow was falling heavily, and a thick blanket covered the stairs.

At the bottom of the steps, a girl in a purple jacket and a Ninja Headband was sweeping the snow away.
She looked about fourteen or fifteen, with long black hair, delicate features, and bright eyes. A beauty mark beneath the corner of her right eye added a hint of allure.
