After spending a few cozy days with Mei Terumi, Hanfu realized he'd let himself go. All he did was eat and sleep, sleep and eat, and he wasn't doing a lick of actual work. This couldn't go on!
He kept reminding himself that he couldn't carry on like this. Every day, he had to get up early, exercise, go for a run, and develop himself in every way. He also had to go out and work, and become someone useful to society!
So that day, Hanfu got up early from his cozy nest. But after thinking it over, he decided to lie in a little longer.
Unfortunately, just then, an annoying voice called out from a distance. "Husky! Husky! Lord Hokage wants to see you!"
That voice... Was it Wild Cat?
Hanfu got up from the tatami, rubbed his aching waist, and staggered out of bed to get dressed. At the same time, he called out listlessly, "Coming, coming. Give me a minute."
Mei Terumi opened her beautiful eyes, propped her head up with one hand, and pulled the blanket over herself with the other. Looking languid, she asked, "Who is it?"
"An old teammate from the Anbu." Hanfu tugged up his pants and declared righteously, "I'm going out to work. Wait for me at home."
Mei Terumi smiled seductively. "Come back early."
Hanfu was so flattered that he immediately perked up, full of energy!
Compared to the Mei Terumi who used to beat people up at the drop of a hat, Hanfu much preferred this gentle version of her.
Though he could put up with a little spice now and then. He wasn't a picky eater!
