Raditz Transforms

Dales and his group returned to the place where Dales and Broly had fought.

Looking at how drastically the landscape had changed, Paragus and Raditz couldn't help drawing in sharp breaths and exchanging uneasy glances.

Raditz was feeling a little panicked, and he kept glancing at Dales.

After all, even when Dales had trained him to transform into a Great Ape, the damage he'd caused over several days hadn't come close to this.

But Raditz had already heard from Carl that this was only the result of Dales and Broly fighting for a little over half an hour. He couldn't imagine how powerful the two of them had become.

"Even a Super Saiyan couldn't be much stronger than this!" Raditz muttered under his breath, unable to keep the thought to himself.

Hearing him, Dales shook his head. "Super Saiyans can do far more than this!"

"Huh?"

At Dales's words, Raditz and Paragus immediately looked at him. From the sound of it, Dales had actually seen a Super Saiyan before.

Dales didn't explain. He simply motioned for Raditz to stand in front of him.

Seeing Dales's expression, Raditz had no time to wonder when Dales had seen a Super Saiyan. He looked at Dales pleadingly, hoping Dales would take pity on him and let him off today. In the end, Raditz was disappointed.

"Dales, could you maybe..." Raditz edged cautiously toward him, still trying to make one last stand.

Ignoring Raditz's reluctance, Dales grabbed him and pulled him over, then turned him around so his back faced Dales.

Raditz could only turn around in despair, already bracing himself for the transformation.

It was the same familiar feeling, the same familiar sensation. Raditz felt a faint sting at the base of his tail, then power began pouring out from there. Only this time, he felt as though Dales had done something else as well.

"Roar!"

Raditz let out a roar instinctively, but soon realized something was wrong.

His ki was growing stronger and stronger, but his body wasn't swelling like before, and he didn't feel the uncontrollable urge to destroy everything that came with becoming a Great Ape.

"Hm?" Raditz turned around, puzzled, and looked at Dales.

Dales was smiling at him, a hint of surprise in his eyes. Paragus, meanwhile, had already switched on his Scouter, his face full of shock!

Raditz finally understood. He hadn't transformed into a Great Ape this time, yet power was still surging through his body.

Raditz clenched his fists, then couldn't help asking Paragus, "Paragus, what's my power level now?"

Paragus came back to his senses and glanced at Dales with a complicated look. "55,000," he replied quietly.

"Ha!"

Raditz laughed when he heard Paragus's answer.

Vegeta's power level hadn't even reached 20,000, while his own was already 55,000, far surpassing Vegeta's. As for the fact that Vegeta could stay rational after transforming, Raditz had conveniently ignored it. It was better to have a little confidence in yourself, after all!

Dales couldn't stand watching any longer. He kicked Raditz flying and snapped, "Take a look at yourself before you say another word!"

Even after Dales kicked him away, Raditz didn't complain at all this time. He felt he'd reached the pinnacle, and even if Dales roughed him up some more, he'd gladly accept it.

Raditz flew over a small lake and saw his reflection on the surface. The moment he caught sight of himself, he was stunned by how handsome he looked!

The Raditz in the lake no longer looked the way he used to. His Battle Suit had disappeared, replaced by fur the same color as his tail. The fur covered his arms and back, leaving his powerful chest bare and giving him a wild air.

His waist-length hair seemed to have grown even longer, hanging messily down his back. What pleased Raditz most were his eyes: his irises had turned golden, and paired with brown eyeshadow, they looked just right to him.

Raditz's transformation looked very much like Son Goku's Super Saiyan transformation in GT, with the only difference being the color of the fur on his body. That was why Dales had been so surprised when he saw Raditz transform.

Dales had already formed some theories about the Super Saiyan 4 transformation, but he hadn't expected that a transformation fueled solely by Great Ape Power would give Raditz a form similar to Super Saiyan 4. And aside from the color, there seemed to be no difference at all. This also proved Dales's theory was correct.

After waiting for a long time without Raditz returning, Dales had no choice but to follow his ki.

As soon as Dales found Raditz, his expression darkened. His good mood vanished, and the corner of his mouth began twitching.

Seeing Raditz still posing and preening, Dales gave Paragus a look. Paragus, curious about Raditz's strength, didn't hesitate. He accelerated and dove straight toward Raditz.

After all this time training in the Gravity Chamber, Paragus's power level had reached 45,000, doubling his strength. He was still weaker than Raditz's current 55,000, but that didn't intimidate him.

Raditz's power level had only reached 55,000 because of the boost from Great Ape Power. His normal power level was just 5,500, and after suddenly receiving a tenfold increase, he might not be able to adapt right away. Besides, Paragus was getting annoyed watching Raditz pose so flamboyantly. Of course, he would never admit he was a little jealous of Raditz's transformation.

Although Paragus had attacked by surprise, Raditz's training hadn't been for nothing. Before Paragus even got close, Raditz sensed him. It was an uncanny feeling, one Raditz had never experienced before.

"Ki Sensing!"

Dales's words from when he'd trained Raditz suddenly flashed through his mind.

Realizing that he might have mastered a technique even Paragus hadn't, Raditz grew excited. Then he remembered that his power level was higher than Paragus's and that he'd be able to beat him up. Raditz, who had always been at the bottom of the group of four, grew even more excited.

Raditz suppressed his delight and kept posing at the lake, secretly tensing his muscles as he prepared to give Paragus a "surprise."

"Closer... closer!" Raditz sensed Paragus's ki, silently shouting in his heart.

Suddenly, Raditz spun around and blocked Paragus's fists with both arms. Meeting Paragus's astonished gaze, he grinned triumphantly. "I've got you!"
