Senzu Bean

The reason Turles invited Son Goku was because he valued his talent. If others didn't know about Son Goku's future achievements, how could Turles not be aware of them?

Super Saiyan, Full Power Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3, Super Saiyan God—all of these had only appeared because of Son Goku.

That transformation on Namek had ignited the passion of countless youths; who among them hadn't mimicked Son Goku's Super Saiyan transformation move during their childhood?

Therefore, Turles couldn't help but extend an invitation to Son Goku. Yet, for some reason, Turles felt that Son Goku was somewhat afraid of him.

Turles didn't know that because of the kick he had delivered to Raditz, Son Goku had already labeled him as brutal. If he had known, Turles would certainly have felt wronged.

Turles wanted to say something more, but Raditz, who had just been kicked away, flew up from below the Lookout while holding a white, cat-like creature.

Seeing this, Turles had no choice but to put aside his invitation to Son Goku for the moment and walk quickly toward Raditz.

"Let me go, you rude fellow, meow!" The cat-like creature kept struggling in Raditz's hand, its staff occasionally tapping against Raditz's body.

It seemed that Raditz was trying to dodge, but for some reason, every time he dodged, he would end up colliding directly with the cat-like creature's staff.

Raditz didn't notice anything amiss, assuming it was just an accident. After being struck a few times, he grew annoyed and was about to lash out to teach this cat a lesson.

However, Turles, who had arrived, noticed something unusual, and he also recognized the identity of this cat.

It was none other than the cat hermit of the Dragon Ball World—Korin!

Korin lived below the Lookout. Although he looked like a cat, his strength was in the top tier on Earth today. Moreover, Korin possessed the technique for growing Senzu Beans, which was exactly what made Turles covet him.

Senzu Beans were one of the reasons Turles had come to Earth. These beans, which didn't have much use in the early stages, were always treated by Korin as a way to satisfy hunger; eating just one could keep someone full for ten days.

After Yajirobe carried a severely injured Son Goku up Korin Tower, the injured Son Goku recovered instantly upon eating a Senzu Bean. This should have been the first time the powerful healing properties of the Senzu Bean were demonstrated.

Unfortunately, Yajirobe's gluttony led to a sharp decrease in the number of Senzu Beans, and in the later stages, the Z Fighters were forced to use them sparingly, counting them one by one.

Turles now knew that Korin probably didn't have many Senzu Beans left, but even obtaining just one would be a decent trump card for survival for him.

If he encountered an enemy he couldn't handle, having a Senzu Bean, combined with the Saiyan trait of gaining increased strength after recovering from severe injuries, would at least give him a glimmer of hope.

Furthermore, Turles had an idea he wanted to test, so he immediately stopped Raditz, who was about to attack. Ignoring Raditz's strange look, he offered an apologetic smile to Korin and said, "I'm sorry, he's used to being rough. Please forgive him, old master!"

Korin looked at the face that was identical to Son Goku's and felt a bit surprised, but he quickly regained his composure as a hermit and waved his hand, saying, "It's fine, it's fine. You should discipline your subordinate properly."

Turles glanced slightly at Korin's trembling legs. He didn't expose him, but instead smiled and said, "Yes, yes! I will definitely discipline him strictly!"

Seeing that Turles was so reasonable, Korin asked in confusion, "By the way, I don't know who you are yet. How do you look exactly like that kid Son Goku? You—you wouldn't happen to be his brother, would you?"

The corner of Turles's mouth twitched, and he said helplessly, "My name is Turles. I am a clansman of Son Goku, not his brother. There, that one is."

As he spoke, Turles gestured toward Raditz with his chin.

"They really don't look like brothers at all!" Korin muttered to himself.

"Anyway, what did you come to see me for?"

Korin didn't know that Turles was the one who had nearly scared him to death with that burst of energy earlier. His tension eased, and he asked quite casually.

Turles didn't stand on ceremony and said directly, "I heard you grow a type of miraculous bean. May I see one?"

"Hm?" Korin suddenly opened his squinted eyes, puzzled. "How did you know about that? Did Son Goku tell you?"

Turles didn't offer an explanation; he just smiled as he looked at Korin.

However, Korin had only asked out of habit and didn't really care much about it. Besides, the Senzu Beans were just something he had tinkered with out of boredom; otherwise, he wouldn't have let Yajirobe squander them all.

"Here, this is it!" Korin scratched his backside, suddenly produced a Senzu Bean, and tossed it straight to Turles.

Looking at the Senzu Bean in his hand, Turles was somewhat surprised. He hadn't expected it to be so easy to get his hands on the life-saving artifact from the Dragon Ball world.

To be honest, Turles felt a bit of admiration for the state of mind of the martial artists on Earth. Whether it was Mr. Popo, the Korin before him, or even that lecherous old man, the spiritual cultivation of these people was truly exceptional.

Dragon Balls existed on Earth, yet these martial arts masters had never thought to use them to enhance their own strength. Even for a treasure like the Senzu Bean, they didn't show excessive greed. Such a mindset was well worth learning from.

"Unattached to material things; grass, trees, bamboo, and stone can all serve as swords!"

Turles suddenly recalled this phrase to describe the feeling. Although the context was different, the principle remained the same.

However, seeing that Korin had pulled the Senzu Bean from behind his backside, Turles couldn't help but feel a bit squeamish.

His gaze suddenly fell on Raditz nearby, and an idea formed in Turles's mind.

"Raditz, come here!" Turles called out to him.

Hearing Turles call him, Raditz didn't dare to delay. He hurried over and asked, "Boss, do you have any orders?"

Turles looked Raditz up and down, even reaching out to pinch the muscles on his arm. A moment later, he nodded in satisfaction.

Raditz felt a bit unnerved by Turles's actions and couldn't help but tremble as he asked, "Boss, you..."

Before Raditz could finish, Turles struck with lightning speed. A beam of light pierced straight through Raditz's chest, grazing his heart and leaving a hole in his torso.

"Boss, you..." Raditz looked on in disbelief as his body slowly collapsed.

Turles's sudden attack shocked everyone. Whether it was Kami, Piccolo, or Korin, they all watched him with horror. Even Dero looked on in disbelief, immediately tensing up and keeping a wary eye on Turles.

Son Goku leaped up and charged straight at Turles!

Turles ignored Son Goku, keeping his eyes locked on Raditz. He extended his mental energy into Raditz's body, carefully observing his vital signs.

Just as Son Goku rushed over, Turles waved his hand, swatting Son Goku away. He immediately shoved the Senzu Bean into Raditz's mouth and continued to monitor his physical condition.
