Whis resides on Beerus's Planet, where he spends his time drinking tea, cultivating high-quality tea trees, developing desserts, and monitoring events across Universe 7. He keeps track of surviving Saiyans because of the Oracle Fish's unclear prophecy concerning a Super Saiyan God. His staff projections locate Broly and Paragus on Planet Vampa, Tarble, Vegeta and Nappa, and Goku and Raditz training on King Kai's Planet 66.

While observing Earth, Whis notices that Lin Chuan has altered the expected course of events. Though initially cautious of this unexplained Saiyan, he considers Lin Chuan an exception capable of changing the status quo and potentially shaping the future of their space-time 67.
