Truly a Big Problem
Klein mentally grumbled, but he still managed to calm himself down and continue looking down.
"It's been a long time since I last wrote in my diary. When I first transmigrated, I hoped that writing in my diary would help me remember my identity, but laziness defeated me. Until today, I finally had the idea."
Klein's lips twitched slightly.
What are your thoughts?
Would you like to write down the process of falling asleep in detail?
"Loen is such a gentleman. Isaac is a gentleman both in and out of bed, which satisfies me. But what satisfies me the most is that when he was in bed, he answered many of the questions I asked him."
Take, for example, the Reader's Potion recipe. I asked him about it when he was distracted, and he didn't hide anything from me. I did a divination afterwards, and the recipe is real. I'll sell it for a good price.
No, perhaps I could raise an extraordinary pet for the Reader, then I'd have an assistant. Of course, I can't do this alone; I could go back to Isaac. I'm really obsessed with him lately, so I can use that as an excuse to sleep with him a few more times."
Klein:...
No, senior, are you really shy?
The shy person didn't see it at all, only recognizing a certain color.
Why weren't you taken away during the crackdown on pornography and illegal publications?
He sighed helplessly and could only continue looking down.
"Speaking of which, what would happen if I had an Assassin 'Potion and gave it to an extraordinary pet? Would they suddenly change sex at Sequence 7 or become women? That's something I'd like to investigate."
But I don't know any gentlemen in the Assassin's Sequence. Perhaps I can look in the Demoness Sect. Ladies are also an option; I'm personally not picky about food or drink.
When I read the original book, I actually quite liked Trissy. I heard that after they first became Demoness, they were still a bit naive and lustful. Maybe I could take the opportunity to seduce them. I think I can handle this contradiction between men and women and the allure of beauty!
"That's perfect, Isaac's too serious, I'm actually getting a little annoyed."
Klein:...
No, senior, you just said you really liked Isaac, and that you wanted to sleep with him a few more times. How come you suddenly think he's serious?
What serious things are actually said on this page of the diary?
He read the whole thing at a glance, but only noticed the sleeping part.
As for the information about the Demoness Sect, he already knew it.
He shook his head, dismissed the page of the diary, and then looked at Lynch, wanting to ask him whether Lynch or Catlin had chosen the diary, but in the end he didn't ask.
Although he was working with Mr. Catlin, he didn't want the man to know what he was thinking.
So he sat up straight, looked at everyone, and said, "You are all free to talk now."
The Mr. Hanged Man immediately said, "Gentlemen, I've received information that Qilingus infiltrated Tingen to obtain an important item that could allow him to quickly rise to the status of King of the Five Seas, or perhaps even King of the Six Seas."
He looked at the Fool, hoping that Mr. Fool's attendant could do this. Perhaps all he had to do was provide the diary; he didn't want to face Mr. Power's elder.
That elder might want more.
Unfortunately, the Fool sits calmly in his seat, showing no intention of taking any action.
He was indeed very interested, but his network overlapped with Lynch's.
If he were to write to Mr. Azik for help, Lynch would likely find out, and then things would get complicated. So he could only pretend that he didn't care at all.
Mr. Hanged Man sighed. He guessed that Mr. Fool wouldn't approve of Qilingus's things. And rightly so, this was an evil god; he could never expect Mr. Fool to be as enthusiastic as Mr. Power.
He could only turn to look at Lynch.
"Mr. Power, I don't have anything that would warrant your elders' help, so could I consider it a favor I owe you? Perhaps I can do you a favor when I reach demigod status?"
Lynch nodded.
He had always wanted Qilingus's Creeping Hunger and Beyonder Characteristic; even if Mr. Hanged Man hadn't paid him, he would have had Mr. Azik do it for him. Now, he was getting a favor in return, so he felt he'd gotten what he wanted.
"No problem. If you get any news about Qilingus, you can tell me directly through Mr. Fool, and I will inform the elders. He will also come to Backlund as soon as possible."
He said it in a nonchalant manner.
Miss Justice shook her head helplessly. Mr. Power was always like this; he didn't even ask a single question. What if Mr. Hanged Man couldn't reach demigod status?
Demigods are still a long way off for them!
She wanted to say more, but just as she was about to speak, she heard Mr. Fool's voice: That's enough for today!
But she hasn't said anything yet!
Miss Justice tried to struggle a little longer, but was kicked off the Sefirah Castle.
She could only decide to ask Mr. Hanged Man again next time, and have Mr. Hanged Man make a promise to Mr. Power that if he still hadn't reached the level of a demigod, he would give Mr. Power an extra ten thousand pounds.
She believed that ten thousand pounds was a fair price to have a demigod intervene!
At the same time, just as Lynch descended from Sefirah Castle, he heard the long-unheard sound of Mr. Fool fainting.
Feeling guilty, he ran over and knocked on the door, deciding to be more careful next time.
He had always allowed the Stone of Myriad Phenomena to absorb the energy gradually during Tarot Club meetings, like a slow and steady process.
This time was no different, except that he had the Stone of Myriad Phenomena absorb another wave of energy just as Klein was about to finish his meeting.
He figured that since Klein had become the Clown, it shouldn't be a big problem.
Unexpectedly, after the Stone of Myriad Phenomena increased its power, Klein couldn't hold on any longer. He barely managed to kick them off the Sefirah Castle before he could finish his last few words.
Next time, next time he must take his time!
Lynch made a vow in his heart, then went to get a doctor for Klein. Feeling a pang of conscience, he didn't intend to ask Klein for money; he planned to reimburse Klein for the expenses.
Seeing this puts his mind at ease; hopefully, his frantic absorption hasn't damaged the Fool's brain.
Fortunately, the doctor only thought Klein was too tired and told him to rest. He didn't even prescribe any medicine, which made Lynch breathe a huge sigh of relief.
If medication is prescribed, Klein will have to pay for it himself.
After seeing the doctor off, Lynch asked the maid to make him some beef, as he felt he needed to replenish his energy; he was exhausted from looking for the doctor.
Perhaps he had gone too far, because Klein didn't look too well the next morning. He could only guiltily say that Klein wasn't feeling well and needed to exercise with him more in order to clear his name.
Of course, he also appropriately revealed some doubt, which made Klein vow that from now on, he would find a place to lie down at any time during meetings, unlike yesterday when he thought that just because he Advancement the Clown, he could stand in the room and hold meetings without restraint.
However, he couldn't help but complain about Sefirah Castle. He'd only pulled four people along, so why was he still so tired after Advancement to the Clown level? He felt he'd already digested part of the Potion, yet he was still so exhausted. He suspected Sefirah Castle was secretly absorbing his Spirituality —could it be that Celestial Worthy's doing?
This is a really big problem!
