Klein glanced at Lynch with a hint of helplessness. The guy sat up straight as soon as he heard him say he would try, clearly worried that this evil god was lying.

But he really wasn't lying; he just wanted to see the quill pen that could summon a skeleton messenger by writing on it.

Lynch knew to ask Mr. Hanged Man and Miss Justice, why didn't he ask him!

He really wanted a quill pen like that; maybe if he encountered danger in the future, he could shout for Lynch to save him!

He sighed, determined to find a way to get a dummy on the Sefirah Castle so he could ask Lynch if he could get one too.

Anyway, Lynch seems pretty generous.

They even know to give money to the homeless, though it's tucked under their tombstone, and only those who sleep in the cemetery at night might find it.

But thinking about it, it makes sense. The people sleeping in the cemetery are likely homeless, so giving them some money would be a quick fix.

It's only fifty pounds!

It would have been better if Lynch had just given it to him directly. What if he wasn't paying attention and someone else took it?

God knows how desperately he needs money right now.

Although he had previously sold Lynch the Potion formula to Miss Justice, the Telepathist, and then to his informant, Dast, he gave the guy one hundred pounds in order to get him to do things for him.

Later, he divined the presence of Red Chimney at the Sefirah Castle, and paid several tens of pounds to investigate them.

When he left Tingen, he only had 143 pounds left in his pocket. Fortunately, he received 50 pounds from Lynch, which made his life in Backlund not so difficult.

God knows that he paid twenty-five bills upfront for renting a room in Backlund, not to mention the money he spent on advertising in the newspaper; he felt like he was burning money.

Because he was so short of money, Klein was even willing to be shameless and ask Lynch for some money at Sefirah Castle.

Lynch's wallet is always bulging; I'm so envious of him.

Unfortunately, he was Fool; he could only remain high above, unable to reveal his true identity.

Thinking of this, he sighed inwardly, but outwardly remained calm, saying, "We need to use sacrificial and bestowal Ritual to ensure your transactions are safer and more discreet."

He recounted the sacrificial and bestowing Ritual, Lynch pondered for a moment before nodding.

I'll give it a try.

Huh? Mr. Power gave in so quickly?

Miss Justice looked at Lynch curiously, not understanding why he would agree. Shouldn't he have, as usual, doubted Mr. Fool for a while first?

It's strange that he agreed before even Mr. Hanged Man did.

Lynch also felt that he had agreed too quickly. He really wanted to get the Klein transit station up and running, but he hadn't considered his own public image.

Right now, everyone must be wondering about his thoughts; he needs to come up with a reason.

Thinking of this, he immediately explained, "A friend of mine died during a mission, and I want to avenge him. I'm willing to take even more risks for that!"

Klein froze.

He never expected that Lynch would be willing to cooperate with the evil god for his sake. He had no idea how many things this guy had done after his death.

He felt a pang of sadness, leaned back in his chair, and was speechless for a moment, unwilling to let his choked voice be heard.

"Mr. Power, is your friend—the one who needs the Sequence 8 Beyonder Characteristic?"

Miss Justice covered her mouth and asked in shock.

"No, it wasn't him. It was another close friend whom I considered family. While I was dealing with a divine intervention incident, someone pierced my body. He tried to save me, but he died there."

Lynch said softly.

A mist of tears welled up in Miss Justice's eyes.

"My goodness! He's such a selfless gentleman; you two must have a very good relationship."

Lynch nodded.

"Yes, that's why I need revenge. I need you to find Ince Zangwill's trail, but be careful, he's already a demigod. If I have the power, I will definitely kill him!"

He clenched his fist.

Miss Justice opened her mouth, but hesitated, as if she wanted to say something.

Mr. Power probably hasn't reached Sequence 7 7, and even if he had, he couldn't kill a demigod!

However, Mr. Power has an elder, and that elder will definitely be able to help!

"Then you must bring your elders with you; it will be safer that way."

Miss Justice looked at Mr. Power, who had lost his friend, with pity in her eyes.

This gentleman must be very upset; I really hope he didn't act impulsively.

"My elder has passed away. He has things to do, and I will not place my hopes for revenge on him. I will do it myself. I will capture Ince Zangwill myself."

My friend—who also has an older brother and a younger sister—had swollen eyes from crying!

Lynch's voice was filled with hatred.

Klein dared not speak, afraid that if he opened his mouth, his sobs would betray him.

Miss Justice, on the other hand, suddenly became very talkative.

"Mr. Power, I think you're very impulsive right now. You need to think things through. I'll help you find Ince Zangwill, but I believe you need to become a demigod before you go!"

After watching Mr. Power nod seemingly indifferently, she hesitated for a moment and decided not to look for news of Ince Zangwill, and even if she did find it, she wouldn't tell Mr. Power unless he became a demigod.

Otherwise, if he went to Ince Zangwill, he would be committing suicide.

She's not an unreliable person.

She sighed, her eyes filled with worry as she looked at Mr. Power. Poor Mr. Power, he'd be all alone from now on. What would he do?

I really want to comfort him in person.

Thinking of this, Miss Justice gave Mr. Fool a somewhat resentful look.

If Mr. Fool hadn't mentioned the sacrificial Ritual today, Mr. Power would have met with her, and comforting Mr. Power in person would have been much more effective, preventing her from worrying so much.

Alas, Mr. Fool spoke too quickly.

Unaware that the wealthy woman from the Tarot Club was complaining about Klein, Klein finally overcame his earlier sadness and spoke up.

"If you encounter Ince Zangwill, you can pray to me."

Lynch had overheard what he said. This guy was eager for revenge and had money. Who knew if he might suddenly find out about Ince Zangwill? If no one was paying attention, he might just go and take Ince Zangwill down with him.

That's why he mentioned having Lynch pray to Ince Zangwill when he met him; perhaps all he could do was try to notify Mr. Azik and then take the guy away.

Of course, he also needed to write a letter to Catlin, hoping that Catlin could persuade the guy that his death wasn't real, but Lynch's death was truly real.
