Lynch opened the door speechlessly. He heard Leonard still urging the maid to break down his bedroom door to see if he had been murdered in his own home.

"I was just too tired and slept a little longer, is it really necessary to get so worked up?"

Lynch shook his head helplessly.

Leonard walked in, somewhat disbelieving, and even opened Lynch's wardrobe to take a look. He then went to the balcony to check before sighing regretfully, "Strange, you were actually sleeping. I thought you had a girlfriend!"

"Are you sure if I had a girlfriend, and you did this to me, she wouldn't assassinate me?"

Lynch thought Leonard's actions looked like he was catching someone cheating, and were also quite uncouth.

If he ever gets a girlfriend, he absolutely must forbid Leonard from coming to his house. It's too disruptive to their marital harmony. If his girlfriend sees him, she might suspect he's having an affair with Leonard!

"Uh, you're right, but I think it's not just your girlfriend who will kill me, Dunn will kill me too, he's always wanted you to marry him—"

Speaking of marriage, I don't know what's wrong with Dunn. He's suddenly become incredibly scary. When he was urging me to get married this morning, it was like he'd suddenly received a mission from Goddess, and he couldn't wait for me to bring a lady home to marry him."

Leonard complained.

Lynch felt slightly guilty, suspecting that it was his statement to Dunn that if Leonard didn't get married, he wouldn't get married either that had the desired effect.

"Hey, stop talking behind people's backs. I never say those things about others."

Lynch said righteously.

Leonard opened his mouth, about to retort, when he heard Dunn's praise.

"That's right, Leonard, you really should learn from Lynch. Although he hasn't been here long, he's always been very serious and polite."

Leonard:----

He suspected that Lynch had just seen Dunn, which was why he said that.

However, he had no evidence, so he could only nod helplessly and then change the subject.

"Captain, I think we should have the Holy Cathedral check on Lynch. He heard some strange noises a few days ago, and he slept for so long today. Could he be at risk of losing control?"

Leonard lowered his voice and said.

Sleepless don't sleep that long. Bersha said Lynch should have gotten home around dawn, and the servant also said that Lynch went to bed as soon as he got home and slept until night. If he hadn't come to wake him, Lynch would have been able to sleep even longer!

Dunn hesitated for a moment, then nodded.

"I will report to the Holy Cathedral. Lynch, you will stay with the Nighthawks squad for the next couple of days. Dewitt and her son will stay in the finance office, so you will stay in the lounge for now. Bring your bedding."

Lynch:?

No, just a few words and he can't even stay at his house anymore?

Why would he sleep in such a big, soft bed instead of the Nighthawks's lounge, on that hard sofa?

"I didn't lose control, I was just too tired. There's nothing wrong with me. Last time I said I heard a sound, but nothing happened. Didn't you have them check it out?"

Lynch offered a helpless explanation.

He slept for so long purely out of exhaustion, and since he had previously disabled all his Pathway, he was able to sleep until now. He never expected that Dunn and the others would suspect that he was about to lose control.

"I'm really fine. You can check my house. I guarantee I didn't do anything."

"Who knows? What if you learn from Old Neil's experience and secretly set up some kind of resurrection Ritual or altar in some secret room at home!"

Leonard smiled, but he looked somewhat serious.

Lynch then realized that the guy was searching his room not to find his girlfriend, but to see if there was anything wrong with the room.

"I will not allow Klein to be resurrected. I am fully aware that what is likely to be resurrected is Monster, and Klein would not want to live like that."

He explained earnestly, as if afraid that Dunn was really going to make him sleep in the lounge.

"Can----"

Leonard was about to say something when Dunn interrupted him.

"Stop talking. You'll only be staying in the lounge for two days. Last time, the bishop and the others just performed a simple Purification Ritual for you. This time, I'll report to the Holy Cathedral and have them send someone over to take a look."

Dunn made the decision immediately, and before Lynch could object, he suddenly laughed.

"You'll stay in the lounge, so I'll provide your meals."

What else is there to say?

"Captain, I could actually stay a few more days."

Lynch happily packed his things.

He also took advantage of Dunn's worry to get Dunn to agree to take him to the steakhouse across from the security company while he stayed in the lounge, but Dunn didn't agree, probably because he really needed money to buy a house.

Dunn wouldn't have been so stingy before.

"Don't be so disappointed. I'll take you to that restaurant today. I talked to Daly for a long time, and she finally agreed to do it."

Dunn smiled.

Lynch quickened his pace, eager to follow Dunn to dinner immediately.

Leonard, standing to the side, was having some existential doubts. He felt that Lynch's obsession with food probably surpassed his obsession with resurrecting Klein. At the very least, he had never seen Lynch talk about resurrecting Klein or actually do it.

Especially during meals, Leonard felt that in Lynch's eyes, Klein was completely unworthy of being compared to the food.

But then he realized he was wrong; perhaps true grief is something that cannot be spoken?

Perhaps Lynch is already overwhelmed with grief, using food to numb himself on the surface?

There were just too many paralyzed nerves. Leonard suspected that Lynch had eaten enough for three people, which made Dunn and Daly very upset. Leonard suspected that the two of them would not treat him to a meal again next time.

After all, Lynch isn't the only incompetent member among the Nighthawks; Bersha is another one.

Lynch can eat enough for three people, Bersha can eat enough for two and a half people, and they have to pack the remaining half to take home.

In short, everyone enjoyed the meal except for Daly and Dunn.

When Lynch came out clutching his stomach, he saw Miss Daly secretly warning Dunn that if he promised to have dinner again, she would make sure Dunn couldn't get out of bed for two days.

He looked up at the sky, not daring to say a word, for fear that Miss Daly, who was clearly eyeing him with greed, would make him pay the bill.

However, Miss Daly was clearly magnanimous. When Dunn said that Lynch might be a little out of control and would need to stay with the Nighthawks team for the next couple of days, with them providing meals, she was only worried, rather than wondering how much money Lynch would consume.

Of course, Lynch suspected that Miss Daly intended to reimburse him for all his meals during his stay in the lounge using the team's funds. He had just noticed that Miss Daly and Mrs. Dewitt had been talking for quite a while.

While they were talking, they kept glancing at Lynch and Bersha and laughing from time to time. This angered Lynch so much that he stood up and ordered another drink as a form of protest against them.

"Don't peek at me! It did cost a lot of money, but I'm not too angry. What I said to Dunn was just some kind of fun."

I'm just a little worried about you. Bersha told me that you told her that Creeping Hunger has the ability to attract women's self-light, but I can be quite sure there's no such side effect.

When I heard you were suffering from the Creeping Hunger, I already had someone pray to the Goddess for you. So tell me, what exactly happened?
