Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Rakshasa God successor 52 Already possesses the divine inheritance and knowledge of divine artifacts. She later explains that she obtained the opportunity through a stroke of luck years earlier 124.
New Rakshasa God 146 Completes her final divine trial, greatly increasing her aura and strength. The former Rakshasa God had lowered the trials’ difficulty at Liu Yuan’s request, and Liu Yuan prevents enemies from disrupting her final ascension 120 139.

Background / History

In her youth, Bibi Dong was Qian Xunji’s disciple and respected him as her teacher. She fell in love with Yu Xiaogang and was willing to leave Martial Soul Hall to be with him. The memory sequence later shown to Qian Renxue describes her as young, trusting, and deceived by Yu Xiaogang 150 151.

When Bibi Dong sought Qian Xunji’s permission to pursue that relationship, he pretended to agree, knocked her unconscious, and raped her. The assault profoundly changed her temperament: she became cold and radical and broke away from Yu Xiaogang. She subsequently killed Qian Xunji, an act that his loyalists used to justify their hostility toward her 150 151.

Bibi Dong became Pope and helped Martial Soul Hall flourish, but her title did not give her control over its strongest forces. The High Priests answered only to Qian Daoliu and could disregard her orders. Her survival within that hostile hierarchy was tied to her position as Qian Renxue’s mother 80 81.

Appearance

  • Beauty: Described as young and beautiful in her memories; as an adult, she still considers her beauty one of the few things she can offer Liu Yuan 150 146.
  • Relative age: Older than Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ning Rongrong. Liu Yuan is younger than her daughter, Qian Renxue 147 152.
  • Bearing: Maintains a noble manner when thanking the Holy Spirit Cult’s escorts 81.
  • Expressiveness: Usually stern and unsmiling before her soldiers, but blushes deeply when Qian Renxue accepts Liu Yuan as her father 147 152.

Personality

Bibi Dong’s severe public image does not prevent acts of compassion. She helps Liu Yuan when he is an unknown, impoverished child, providing immediate care without asking for repayment. As Pope, she can react angrily to failure, but she accepts evidence that corrects her judgment: after reviewing Yue Guan’s memories, she acknowledges his account and reassesses Tang San’s threat 8 52.

She is proud of her office and resents the High Priests’ public humiliation, yet recognizes when resistance is impractical. Rather than confront Qian Daoliu’s faction while injured, she retreats to recover and pursue godhood. Her gratitude toward Liu Yuan grows into affection, while her desire to reconcile with Qian Renxue remains an important private concern 81 124 147 149.
