Background

Tang San is a reincarnated God King who remembers a prior life as an Outer Sect disciple of the Tang Sect and another life in which he became a God King after overthrowing Martial Soul Hall. Reborn in Holy Soul Village as Tang Hao's son, he retains his prior knowledge and repeatedly practices the Mysterious Heaven Skill, Tang Sect movement arts, and hammer techniques from childhood. 9 80

His early life is defined by poverty and Tang Hao's grief over Ah Yin's death. Tang San handles the household cooking and chores while Tang Hao drinks heavily, though Old Jack advocates for Tang San's martial soul awakening and later secures him Holy Soul Village's work-study place at Nuoding Academy. 9 10 20

At his awakening, Tang San publicly manifests Blue Silver Grass and Innate Full Soul Power. Afterward, he privately reveals the Clear Sky Hammer to Tang Hao, confirming that he possesses Twin Martial Souls. Tang Hao orders him to keep the hammer hidden and not attach soul rings to it without permission. 20

Appearance

At age six, Tang San is a thin, malnourished boy whose ordinary appearance contrasts with his self-image as a returned God King. 9

  • Black hair, described as messy and bird-nest-like. 9
  • Blue irises and a sallow complexion. 9
  • Small, undernourished build from his impoverished upbringing. 9

Personality

Tang San is intensely self-assured and treats his past status as a God King as proof of his judgment and moral character. He is easily insulted by perceived disrespect—particularly toward his martial soul, hidden weapons, Tang Sect identity, or personal reputation—and frequently responds internally with vows of revenge. 9 30 65 68

He is calculating in combat and capable of pragmatism when facing overwhelming opponents. He uses surprise attacks, movement techniques, hidden weapons, and restraints to compensate for power gaps, but yields when confronting the hotel guards' superior force. 48 68 78

Tang San is deeply possessive and protective of Xiao Wu. He repeatedly promises retaliation against anyone who harms her, becomes jealous when Yu Xiaolong grows close to her, and regards losing her as unacceptable for both emotional and practical reasons. 25 41 42
