Background
Tang San was born to Tang Hao and Ah Yin, but carried a soul from another world. Raised in poverty by the withdrawn Tang Hao, he cooked, maintained their home, and cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill to avoid malnutrition. Despite recognizing Tang Hao as his sole family in this life, he initially struggled with his father's distance and alcoholism. 31 33
At three years old, Tang Hao gave him a Network Card. Tang San immediately treated the Network World as a source of knowledge and combat practice, choosing the Silver Needle martial soul in Martial Soul Glory because of his background in Tang Sect hidden weapons. His use of Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track and needle techniques let him defeat older opponents despite having no awakened martial soul. 31
Tang San awakened Blue Silver Grass with Innate Full Soul Power, secretly discovering his second martial soul, the Clear Sky Hammer. Network World records then revealed Tang Hao's identity as the Clear Sky Douluo and Ah Yin's identity as a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor. 34
Appearance
After his Blue Silver Emperor awakening, Tang San's appearance changed noticeably enough that Shrek Academy initially failed to recognize him. He is described as a handsome youth with blue hair. 55 66
- Blue-haired after his secondary awakening. 66
- Uses the Eight Spider Lances, an External Spirit Bone that grows from his back. 69
- Later wields Sea God and Asura divine manifestations, including wings and divine equipment. 111 168
Personality
Tang San is disciplined, observant, and intensely focused on cultivation. He studies martial souls, spirit beasts, hidden weapons, and political conditions before acting; his choice of the Sword Bamboo ring and his assessment of suspicious sailors both reflect this habit. 49 96
His loyalty is centered on a small circle of family, teachers, and companions. Tang Hao's death, Xiao Wu's sacrifice, and the threat to Tang Wutong turn his desire for strength into a fixation on revenge against Nan Xuan and Bibi Dong. 80 93 94
Over time, his strategic restraint becomes increasingly ruthless. He seizes control of the Clear Sky Sect, helps Xue Beng take the Heaven Dou throne, manipulates the Holy Spirit Cult, and allies with the Abyss Plane while withholding his full plans from his allies. 102 105 138 154

- Slaughter God's Domain — Inherited through the Slaughter City path; amplifies killing intent but can erode his judgment if overused. 74 94
- Eight Spider Lances — External Spirit Bone acquired from the Man-Faced Demon Spider. They increase his mobility and eventually evolve into a god-level soul bone after he kills the Man-Faced Demon Spider Emperor. 69 80 107
