Background

Lan Yingying was originally Ah Yin, a Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor. After Nan Xuan reveals that Tang San is a possessing soul rather than her biological son, she chooses to leave Tang Hao and become Nan Xuan's ninth soul ring in exchange for restoring her human form and cultivation. Nan Xuan uses Digitization and materialization to create her new body, renames her Lan Yingying, and presents her publicly as his distant cousin. 28 29

Settling in Holy Soul Village, she handles household work and quietly observes Tang Hao and Tang San from across the street. Tang Hao's alcoholism and Tang San's unnatural maturity reinforce her disillusionment with her former life. She resolves to live for herself rather than return to Tang Hao. 29 30

After accepting her connection to Nan Xuan as both his soul ring and romantic partner, Lan Yingying becomes his wife.
