Flender finished the story and nodded in satisfaction.
Cosmic Garou still appeared, but the fights had been enhanced without straying from the original plot. There was none of that crude business with Saitama farting or sneezing, nor did a pebble somehow take down Garou while Snot-nosed Bear bawled his eyes out.
There was still a battle in space and nuclear radiation, but not everyone was put in danger. Garou never truly killed anyone, either, and Saitama forced him back onto the right path.
All in all, Flender had finally enjoyed the definitive reading experience he had longed for in his previous life: the original story with the remake's artwork. It felt much like the earlier parts had.

The one person whose story involved a teacher turning his back on a student spoke up for fairness.

Zephyr had fought Kizaru, Bang had fought armored Garou, Professor Oak had fought Blue, and Uncle Chan smacked Jackie Chan whenever something came up.
Flender, unusually, stayed quiet. Come to think of it, judging by the story, his teaching might have been the worst of the lot. He hadn't even had a master-disciple showdown.

The world of Kung Fu Panda was in decent shape, with no major disasters looming. After all, Master Oogway, its strongest fighter, remained at the Jade Palace. He would only fake his death and leave once he found a promising successor.
The one troubling detail was that Master Shifu realized Lord Shen must have slaughtered Panda Village several years ago.
[Master Shifu: If Po, the future Dragon Warrior, is already living at the foot of the mountain, then Panda Village has been slaughtered.
Master Oogway would be heartbroken if he knew.]
[Flender: Such is fate. If Lord Shen hadn't heeded the prophecy that a black-and-white animal would defeat him, he wouldn't have slaughtered Panda Village. Po wouldn't have come to the Jade Palace, learned kung fu, and ultimately defeated him.]
