Background / History

Ouyang Sun was abandoned by his parents in the deep mountains because his hair grew unusually fast. He survived alone by living in a fruit tree and eating its fruit, focused only on finding shelter and staying alive rather than dreaming of becoming a Soul Master. His appearance and isolation caused others to mistake him for a monkey, a subject that remains painful for him. 55

Flender finds Ouyang Sun after sensing his exceptional spirit-power fluctuations and offers to make him a disciple. Oscar's apology after calling him a monkey, along with their shared experiences as abandoned children, helps Ouyang Sun accept Flender's offer. 55

At his Martial Soul Awakening, Ouyang Sun manifests a small gray monkey independently from his body. He can merge with it, gaining a monkey-like form, dark gray-black hair, and a markedly stronger physique. Soon afterward, he discovers a second martial soul: an independently manifested green frog. 55 56
