Geography and Governance
The Celestial Realm comprises six immense continents arranged around the Endless Sea of Clouds, dividing that sea into inner and outer regions. The realm is divided into 120 prefectures, including twenty within the Endless Sea of Clouds. Each prefecture is administered by a peak Highgod Prefect, usually an expert who has fused five profound mysteries. 72
- Endless Sea of Clouds — A vast sea covered by a permanent layer of white mist that has remained since the realm’s birth. Its natural landscapes may contain insights connected to the profound mysteries of laws. 75
- Outer Sea — Contains Liuyun Prefecture, where new arrivals from Castle Mountain are transported. 72
- Inner Sea — The central region of the realm and site of the Heaven-Reaching Tower. 86
- Liuyun Prefecture — A medium-sized outer-sea prefecture spanning more than one billion li; it has only ten cities, each roughly a thousand li in radius. 72 86
- Meteor Archipelago — An island region within Liuyun Prefecture where newcomers are released and local tribes compete for territory and resources. 72 79
- Red Cloud Strait — A major route between the outer seas, the Inner Cloud Sea, the Red Gold Continent, and the Cloud Moon Continent. 115
Society and Infrastructure
Castle Mountain
Castle Mountain is a naturally formed white mountain resembling a castle, located within the Endless Sea of Clouds. It contains one of the Celestial Realm’s nine interplanar teleportation arrays and receives arrivals from material planes daily. 72
- Two one-hundred-meter-wide teleportation arrays operate in its central open area. 72
- Newly arrived beings are gathered and transported by Metal Lifeform under Cloud Sea Army supervision. 72
- The Cloud Sea Army serves the Chief Sovereign of Fate and travels under the protection of his insignia. 72
- The realm’s gravity is nearly one hundred times that of the Yulan Continent, while divine sense is heavily restricted. 72
- Newcomers are advised to seek the protection of a tribe or clan due to the danger outside established settlements. 72
Currency and Commerce
Celestial Stones are the Celestial Realm’s principal currency. Their value is tied to the trace amounts of Sovereign Power contained within them; sufficiently powerful Highgods can extract complete drops of Sovereign Power from immense quantities of stones. 72 123
- A Lowgod Godspark is valued at roughly one hundred Celestial Stones, yet luxury clothing or meals in Blue Moon City can cost hundreds, thousands, or even millions. 86
- Wealth can be dangerous outside secure settlements, where robbery, tribal conflict, and murder are common. 72
- Divine artifacts, Godsparks, Soul Golden Pearls, Metal Lifeforms, God-Slaying Arrows, maps, and cultivation manuals are traded in major cities. 86
Major Locations
Blue Moon City
Blue Moon City is an ancient and prosperous city in Liuyun Prefecture, located more than ten million li east of the Meteor Archipelago. It has a radius of roughly one thousand li and charges one Celestial Stone for entry. 85 86
Fighting is prohibited within the city walls, making city residences highly sought after. The cheapest homes cost several million Celestial Stones, while ordinary houses cost about one hundred million. 86
- White Sand Castle — A chaotic free-trade market where counterfeit or inferior goods are common. 86
- Cloud Sea Castle — A formal marketplace that guarantees secure transactions and sells information on geography, laws, artifacts, and other resources. 86
- Apostle Castle — The site where residents may undergo assessment to become Apostles. 86
Kaste City
Kaste City lies on the Red Cloud Strait and serves as a major crossing point between the Red Gold Continent, Cloud Moon Continent, Inner Cloud Sea, and outer seas. 115
- Its original protected inner city is roughly one thousand li in radius. 115
- An enormous outer city formed beyond the original walls due to constant traffic, expanding the settlement’s apparent radius to ten thousand li. 115
- Cloud Sea Army protection and the God Lord’s prohibition apply only to the inner city; violence is permitted in the outer city. 115
Heaven-Reaching Tower
The Heaven-Reaching Tower stands at the center of the Inner Cloud Sea and functions as the Celestial Realm’s equivalent to Hell’s Purgatory. It is a gathering place for the realm’s strongest experts and a route toward Overseer status for the Planar Battlefield. 86 192
- The tower has 120 floors, each overseen by a God Lord of Heaven-Reaching. 86
- Every floor master is equivalent in status and strength to a Purgatory Overseer. 192
- The tower covers hundreds of thousands of li and has existed since the Celestial Realm’s birth. 192
- A floating garden is rumored to exist above the tower; it is identified as the August Garden, residence of Chief Sovereign of Fate Orloff. 86
Mountain of Fate
The Mountain of Fate lies three million miles south of Golden Wing City and remains shrouded in golden mist. It is associated with the appearance of Heavenly Fate Stones. 105
- Entry requires either Six-Star Apostle strength in the Rules of Fate or possession of a Heavenly Fate Stone Token. 102
- Heavenly Fate Stones recognize only selected individuals; powerful experts cannot seize one without that recognition. 102
- The stones and their tokens are tools used by Heavenly Fate to select and control gifted cultivators through “Fate Resonance.” 113
Conflict and Planar Warfare
The Celestial Realm is outwardly beautiful but marked by frequent robbery, tribal warfare, and slaughter across the Sea of Clouds. Metal Lifeforms traveling between settlements regularly encounter bandit attacks and conflicts. 72 75 86
The realm participates in Planar Wars through the Star River passages. In the fourth Planar War, the Celestial Realm allied with the Plane of Light against Hell and the other participating planes. 173 180
- The Celestial Realm had previously achieved nine consecutive Planar War victories and had once completed a ten-victory streak. 173 180
- Its principal military advantage is the Twelve-Winged God Angel legion of the Plane of Light. 173
- Each Twelve-Winged God Angel possesses at least Seven-Star Fiend strength and fights with absolute loyalty and no fear of death. 173
- Angel squads of six use Angel Battle Formations to launch combined attacks capable of killing large numbers of ordinary soldiers. 181
- The narrow Star River passages limit large-scale engagements to roughly one thousand combatants at a time, reducing the advantage of superior troop numbers. 180
